Lane guidance: Make "View Only" and "View and Hear" behaviors consistent for "continue straight" lanes
In WME we have two options if we want to force "continue" lane guidance to be surfaced to the user - view only, and view and hear (or more recently, with and without audible instructions).
Aside from the obvious difference in whether or not an audible instruction is issued to "use the Left 3 lanes to continue straight ..." or only a visual instruction, there's another more subtle behavior change that is not always welcome - namely, if you use the "View and Hear" option, it is additionally treated as a "Continue" TIO (turn instruction override). Support optional "display name" specifically for Area Places
The "name" field of an Area Place serves two completely separate functions. First, it seeks to form, together with the address, a unique search hit; this could involve a lot of text. But second, it displays on the app for everyone nearby.
Most drivers probably don't care about detail in the displayed name; for them, excessive detail may distract rather than help. For example, in some countries editing conventions dictate that rest stops along freeways should have highly detailed primary names in order to make them useful search hits, such as:

📣 Proposal to Waze: Introducing a User-Created Voice Navigation Marketplace
I would like to make a proposal regarding Waze’s voice navigation feature.
Currently, users primarily rely on the standard voice options provided by Waze.
Although some users can already create and share custom voices on a limited basis, I believe Waze should take this concept further by introducing a fully supported system where individual creators can produce, upload, and sell their own navigation voices within the app.This idea provides significant benefits for Waze, creators, and users alike.

Let me create custom routes on the map editor, that can be pushed to my device(s).
I know all the best routes from work to home and vice versa. Let me create those routes in the map editor then "push" or I can "fetch" them to my device(s). Then when I get in my car and open waze and asks if I'm going home or to work the first routes it pulls from are my custom ones, and creates a heat map list or something that I can choose from.

Blocking the APPROVAL or EDITS of a place if the corresponding label is off.
Now that the CREATION of a place if the corresponding label is off is implemented, the same principle should also be applied to APPROVAL or EDITS of those places.
Otherwise we can be adding duplicates to the map

Improve handling of Routing Option for L1-L3 editors
Editing segments with Routing Preference (or Routing Option) is only possible for L4+ editors.
However, WME Beta and WME Prod allow L1-L3 editors to change segments with Routing set to Unfavored/Preferred (i.e. not Neutral), and only gives a very generic error message when saving. Which is rather unproductive.
My suggestions:
- Can we improve the wording in the error pop-up?

Advertisment Error Handling
Please change Paid Advertisement Handling to have them appear on the Map Editor after they have appeared and allow Editors to submit update requests that Advertisers need to acknowledge. The existing Google forms that are posted in the forum are worthless. I have submitted multiple forms for Kroger Ad issues around greater Columbus, Ohio that do not appear to have any affect. (Also, I have never received feedback on a report filed.) A month later another Ad shows up with the store still located 3 blocks away from its actual location. WME - Allow to put and specify an estimated duration for mobile speed camera
In some countries, there are, in addition to mobile and fix speed cameras, some "almost-fix" speed camera : these speed cameras are placed on the roadside for a period of several days (one or two weeks) before being moved elsewhere for the same duration.
It would be good in WME to provide these types of radars with an estimated duration (and for example to cancel them if there ane any confirmation during a period of 24 hours).
With the present system, police alert are to short and fix camera reported in WME is not the right solution.11 votes -
Please add traffic on map when not navigating so that we can see traffic like Google maps does.
Please add traffic onto map when not navigating so that we can see traffic congestion like Google maps does. I tend to just open Waze for traffic issues and police and hazards when driving to work everyday because I don’t need to navigate to work normally.

Improve comments from other users on Closures and Reports
When other users comments on Closures and Reports I have submitted they show as a pop-up in the app and then disappear, forever! These comments are nowhere to be found. Not in the app inbox, not in my e-mail.
The only way to reply is to find the closure or the report on the map. But for an L5 editor like myself who puts dozens of closures around the country every week, that's useless.
Can you please improve how these comments are handled?

Possibility to adjust fuel prices with WME.
More and more gasoline prices are no longer kept up to date by Waze users. To ensure that people in my region can see the current prices at the gas stations, I now enter these via the app. This takes a lot of time. I would like, and many others probably with me, the option to enter these gasoline prices via WME.

WME Planning Mode
When handling new road construction or reconfiguring existing roads, junctions, interchanges, etc. it would be beneficial to have a "planning mode" where the changes could be planned in advance but not added to the live map until the construction is finished. Currently, editors must carefully preserve existing routing while mapping the new segments.

Inherit custom turn instructions on unnamed segments
When a turn includes an unnamed segment, and a custom turn instruction is used - including addition of shields in the instruction- the custom instruction must be duplicated at both the unnamed segment and the final turn. This makes a long edit with numerous clicks even longer and tedious. Please inherit custom turn instructions in the same way that segment names are inherited with default instructions.

To be able to focus on editing a state, il would be good to be able to filter the feed mainly when managing a country or multiple states.

Markers for Emergency Service Stations
An awesome addition to the waze map editor would be the addition of emergency service station markers and permanent building markers / icons with two types for example:
Emergency tap (single tap on any of the icons will add it to your route)
- Hospitals (Marked with a red and white "H")
- Police Stations (Marked with a house shape outline & a badge inside)
- Fire Stations (Marked with a house shape outline & Fire Axe or fire truck inside)
Passive Icons

Multiple opening hours per day
Having the possibility to enter multiple opening hours for each day.
Some shops are open from e.g. 09:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00. Currently you have to enter each of those times for each day seperately.11 votes -
Show lanes configuration even if not in editable area
The lanes tab contains the number of lanes and the lanes associated to each turn, including far turns. This is necessairy for adding lanes but also for ckecking them them.
If an editor has no permission to edit lanes on a segment, he only sees the total number of lanes and the lane configuration as a whole.
This also happens when the segment is not inside one's editable area.The problem is, this way it's not possible for editors to discuss or check a certain lane configuration together if this is outside of the editable area.

Photos in URs
Enable Wazers to add photo and video attachments to their URs from the phone or live map. Photos of intersections would enable editors to solve problems more quickly, especially in rural areas where street view is sparse.
Currently, some northeastern states let users send media via email, including the editor’s username in the subject line. This alternative would be easier for users and editors.
Ideally, if a user sends inappropriate media, then the editor can forward it to their RC in-app and have them review. Then, the RC could decide next steps.

The type of way (preferred / unfavorable / neutral) now it does not appear anymore
The type of via appeared and now it does not appear anymore, even if the editor did not have access to edit this information it appeared on the screen, me and some friends here liked this information because it helped new users to better understand why they did not have access to edition. Because only levels 4 above appear. Could you go back?
