Hey!
This request is currently under consideration.
An error occurred while saving the comment EloheiYishi commentedHi, Bob,
No, the button only reloads the elements on the map, but this is not a page refresh. Currently the page refresh has become mandatory when merging segments and you can't continue editing if you don't refresh.

I would suggest that this option would be implemented in a more general way - on opening a URL (for example from a mail regarding a comment reply), WME processes the GET variables and values and rewrites the URL to the basic URL.
I think this could be implemented quite easily with a server side URL rewrite, which would mean all the information will just disappear from the URL and the page can be refreshed always. If this doesn't break permalink generation, it would be the easiest solution which wouldn't require any changes to the WME itself.

An error occurred while saving the comment EloheiYishi commented@ojlaw The information is currently in the General tab. But when you have segments with multiple closures, which happens often enough, then you hardly can find any segment info. If the closures info can be summarized in such cases, then it would be an option just to have the info closed/opened. Maybe with a link to the full info in the Closures tab. However, I think chronologically you can easily see what has happened by looking at both tabs. I wonder in what situations you will need this.

An error occurred while saving the comment EloheiYishi commentedThis is already implemented in WME production. No scripts required.
Glad to see this was proposed and I see already a comment about the dynamic vertexes (geometry nodes) is present. I would like to add to the idea, as I see currently only an existing vertex is active for the delete action. So, the D key does nothing on dynamic vertexes, but they are active points in WME, as you can create a vertex/node at that spot. So the D key can be used at any such place on the segment to split it, rather than delete an existing node. No need to click and select with the mouse. The requirement to save will provide an easy confirmation mechanism. Once split, we can always adjust the spot, if needed.
The only thing I would add here concerns another proposals like the history for a split segment and most importantly - the segment travel data. But this is up to the devs to decide how to deal with. Of course, the best option would be to have the possibility to add a virtual node in cases where you need to split for speed limit needs, which was an internal Waze idea, as far as I remember.
