Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

An error occurred while saving the comment I was looking for this today. I reached an area on a highway where construction was being done, but the lane closure of a two lane highway started about 2 miles before the construction site. This led to a lot of traffic and would have been able to avoid it if there was an alert like "right lane closed ahead"

An error occurred while saving the comment For those with security worries, a route could be protected with a code given to the parents. That way, no one else but the parents can see the route and receive the alerts.
Currently, when there is an alert given "amount of time in traffic, x minutes." once you're already in the traffic. It would be nice if that alert was given sooner AND provide the opportunity to re-route. For example, "traffic ahead will add x minutes to your trip. Would you like to re-route around the traffic?"
