Lane closure reports made easy
I'd like a report button that would indicate lane closures.
Could press to report the beginning of the lane closure, then press again to report the end.
Then you indicate whether it's the left, right, or center lane.

We plan to work on having an option to report a lane closure in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

Having a Right Left shoulder button would be a critical addition.
The LAW states
MOVE OVER SLOW DOWN for emergency vehicles. It would be a great addition to put on the map if the right lane is closed due to a traffic accident or hazard, This allows users to know well before they arrive at the problem which lane to get out of which adds SAFETY to us first responders!!!
I am surprised that waze is not in a hurry to help protect the LIVES of EMS and other essential workers and drivers and has not implemented this CRITICAL need. -

Have you tried the Map Editor?
"Not Driving Edits" are best made using https://www.waze.com/en-GB/editor int eh browser.
Clicking on a road segment in Map editor will allow you to mark the road as "Restricted" either partial or fully, and provide the start and end date of the restriction.

For the roads closed feature please allow us to select which lane(s) are closed even if it's going in the opposite direction. And please allow us to tap a road/lane/on or off ramp as well even if we're not traveling on it but we're close to it to submit closures. There's been on/off ramp closures and closed lanes lately but all you offer is a full road closure option.

I got to situation that police closed the whole road because of accident, but it was in middle of straight road with no junctions near by. Tried to use the closure thing, but it was very cumbersome, not something one can do in 2 seconds i had. I had to turn around but waze still was routing me through the closed section. Eventually i managed to stop somewhere and navigate myself through the closure, so waze rerouted me. But it took me about 2 minures of fiddling with the arrows. There must be simpler way for this in closure hazard or accident report.

We are all warned not to use waze when driving. Therefore it is frustrating when a certain road is closed by roadworks and is known about, but you can only report it if you are actually driving by it. I know of a road closure and purposely don't want to drive that way as i know I will get stuck for ages. However waze will continue to direct me that way even though I know that road is not possible to drive down. Please enable users to notify of closures whilst not actually driving. I'd like to add Google maps already knows of the particular closure, so another option is to get maps and waze to talk to each other.

If A lane is closed I should be able to report which lane so people can merge to the correct lane in advance.

I believe this is the same as: https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59225-map-editor-suggestions/suggestions/41622763-tr-closure-mechanism
Which is already added to the backlog.

Because of roadworks, sometimes a street is open but you cannot cross it and make a left turn. The only hack for now is to turn the green arrow to a red arrow and to leave a comment for future update, or to set turn restrictions.
It would be easier to be able to set a closure on a turn.

I agree mostly on the arrows on one-way streets in the client in 3D view is very useful!

If you already passed the closed road it is not possible to report the road as closed, this usually happens.
Also reporting it while driving doesn’t work (sometimes i let the passenger report it, but that doesn’t work well) because the map keeps moving.
The arrows while reporting a closed road are not user friendly.

Please make it easier to report a road closure. There was a fire closing a roadway, so i tried to report closure, and the only available arrows were not correct.

lane closure is great to know which lane(s) to avoid ahead--for construction, accidents, objects, police, etc. Not only the traveling lane in your direction, but also the shoulders, exit/entrance lanes, and opposite travel direction.

Would like to add hazard alert about roadworks then they close one lane and has to merge to one.

Construction has lanes closed all the time, but there is only a "paving" option, which does not always apply. I80 is down to ONE lane in Nebraska with the entire side closed, but no way to mark it. I70 is down to two lanes in Colorado due to construction. Some sort of construction warning for users to avoid would be helpful.

Maybe app does not let you report road closure based on reporting because it would be abused by people who do not want cars going through neighborhood. But app could look at how many cars are turning around, lack of traffic, and wazers not taking route suggested during specific time period to figure out that road is closed.

The way waze is set up; first I have to tell it there is construction, then tell it which direction of which intersection is closed, and you want me to do this while driving. Make it easier. There should be an easy button for I cannot go the way you are telling me anymore because of construction; one button to select, that's all.

On multi lane highways, it would be useful to know when and which lanes are closed (for construction) or obstructed (collision etc).

No error at that location, but in general. We can say when a vehicle is stopped on the road or on the shoulder, but not on the median. It would be a nice addition to choose the median as well so drivers know to get over a lane. It is not only a common courtesy, but also a safety precaution. My next suggestion is being able to say when roads are under construction and inform drivers of lane closures, not only if the road itself is closed. Thank you.
