Aggregated traffic/report data to see Trends!
Online or in the app, provide a feature to show aggregated data. This will allow us to see all reports for say, the past month, in our area. We can spot areas that have traffic on a recurring basis, places with repeat police reports.

Show direction that other wazers are travelling on the navigation map
When viewing the navigation map, what if you showed a little arrow indicating the direction that the other wazers on the map are traveling? I can't tell if the wazer ahead of me is traveling the same direction as me and I am just catching up to them or they are on the other side of the road driving towards me. You could put a little black direction arrow in their icon.

It would be nice to have a way to force the voice navigation to speak the current location and/or the next turn at any arbitrary point.
That way, if you're on a long road with no turns for a while you can get a reminder of how far to the next turn and what it is. Might also be nice if it could somehow tell you where you are at the moment, e.g., "Heading north on I-495 in Westford"

Adding addresses needs to be user friendly
When adding an address to "Favorites" it's almost impossible. Once you type in the address, there is not "Add" button only "Back and "Close". I tried to follow the instructions it says to touch to add and I add the address and nothing happens. Impossible to add "Home" or "Work". Frustrated.

More comprehensive directions
Waze should be able to give more detailed and frequent directions, perhaps as a selectable option (e.g. regular "keep left/right and go straight for the next __ metres" reminders, or more frequent "turn left in __ metres" instructions every 50m rather than 100m/200m).
In one experience, the road I was travelling on split to two separate but parallel lanes, and because Waze didn't mention anything I ended up taking the wrong path. A more frequent reminder to keep left/right would have avoided this.
tl;dr make Waze more talkative.

It would be nice to have a map on the client that shows the colorful streets according to the average speed obtained thanks to all the GPS
It would be nice to have a map on the client that shows the colorful streets according to the average speed of road segments obtained thanks to all the GPS as the live map on the website: yellow above 45 km / h, marron between 45 and 20 km / h, white below 25 km / h, so as to also choose myself the way and everyway understand what type of road is at a glance!
maybe you could also make sure that the streets are set automatically (only minor, the primary and streets) coloring itself according to Vmedia ..…

Use another source for the maps (other than google maps)
I see that for some, the fun in waze is making and editing the map, thats cool. but in the area im in, there arent many users of waze, and there are a lot of streets. and there have been times (infact every time so far) where i have set a destination, only for it to not be found.
Some apps (mapquest) use openstreetmap maps (http://openstreetmaps.org). Do their terms of service fit better with waze terms of service?
as i understand it, that is why google maps arent used as a base.

First of all, this is a great app, as far as alerts; would you add EMS to Report menu? And maybe move Chit Chat to the Main Menu? Thank again.

Fix Radar on route
Could you include the fix radar in the report list and especially in the report list "On route".

Possibly Clear Up what is meant by the "Traffic Jam" reports
Instead of having "Moderate", "Heavy" and "Standstill", why not clarify these categories a little more. They could possibly be instead "Congestion", "Slow Down" and "Standstill". I think these adequately reflect the different degrees of traffic jams that occur. Congestion is still dangerous but might not reflect a great decrease in speed. When drivers will have to decrease their speed that is useful to know, and of course "Standstills" are self explanatory.
An alternative option could be to elaborate on the provided categories more instead of changing them. They just seem a little ambiguous.3 votes -
iPhone4G - landscape mode not correct at time zero
more of a bug really.
If Waze is running before I rotate the phone then the switch to landscape mode works. If I launch Waze after rotating the phone (like I do when I snap the phone into my car mount before starting Waze) then the display is stuck sideways.3 votes -
Option to shut off nearby event popups
Add an option to the client in order to lock the event popup to only show the events on our route and NOT on all the nearby streets. We don't care about other streets problems, but we need the ones on our routes.

Get a list of directions for a given route.
Sometimes it's hard to evaluate a route choice from the descriptions. It would be great if a route could be listed in text (one line per step) so that the route options could be evaluated more easily.

how long to remain on this route
After entering a street, I would like to see Waze tell me how long I should be staying on this particular highway. So that shortly after it says "Turn right on I-490 east.", it would then say "Stay on I-490 for 7.3 miles, about 8 minutes."
