Dynamic Green Corridors: Infrastructure-Integrated Predictive Routing for Emergency Vehicles
This system connects Waze directly to a city’s emergency dispatch and traffic light grid using a secure, locked-down connection. When an ambulance or fire truck is dispatched, Waze calculates its route and instantly talks to the city's traffic systems to automatically change upcoming traffic lights to green. At the same time, Waze's engine predicts traffic bottlenecks 60 to 90 seconds ahead of the emergency vehicle and triggers a "flushing mode." This gives everyday drivers a clear, early countdown and lane instructions right on their screens, safely moving everyone out of the way and clearing gridlock before the emergency vehicle even…

Scaling Waze via Infrastructure Integration and Predictive Routing
Dear Waze Executive Team,
I joined the Waze community recently, and as a business owner, engineer, AI professional, and cybersecurity specialist, I immediately recognized the immense strategic value of your crowdsourced data model. Waze has successfully gamified and decentralized navigation; however, the next leap in market dominance lies in transforming Waze from a consumer mapping application into a critical pillar of B2G and smart-city infrastructure.
I have developed a high-level product framework for a premium or enterprise-tier ecosystem that I call "Dynamic Green Corridors." This feature leverages Waze’s predictive routing engine to interface directly with municipal traffic management centers, creating…

Night-Safe Routing
Hello Waze Team,
I would like to suggest adding a “Night-Safe Routing” option in Waze. This feature would allow users to choose routes that are safer and more comfortable when driving at night.
At night, some roads may be poorly lit, isolated, or less frequently used, which can make drivers feel unsafe or less confident, especially in unfamiliar areas. Current routing primarily focuses on travel time and traffic conditions, but does not account for nighttime safety factors.
By introducing a Night-Safe Routing option, Waze could prioritize routes that are better lit, more populated, and have more consistent traffic flow. This…

Speed Bump Reporting Feature
Dear Waze Team,
I would like to suggest adding an option for users to report speed bumps within the hazard reporting feature.
In many areas, speed bumps are not clearly marked or are placed unexpectedly, which can lead to sudden braking and potential safety risks, especially for drivers who are unfamiliar with the route.
By allowing users to flag speed bumps, Waze could help improve driver awareness, reduce unexpected slowdowns, and contribute to a safer and more comfortable driving experience.

Road Surface Hazard (Partial or Full Road Flagging)
Dear Waze Team,
I would like to suggest enhancing the hazard reporting feature by allowing users to flag either a portion or an entire road as having poor surface conditions (e.g., full of potholes or severe degradation), instead of reporting only individual potholes.
In many areas, road damage is not limited to a single spot but affects continuous segments or even the whole road. Reporting individual potholes in these situations does not accurately reflect the overall driving experience and may underestimate the level of discomfort or risk.
By enabling users to mark a partial segment or the entire road as…

Apply search suggestion to search bar
Often when searching for an address, its already suggested in the list. However when a slight modification is needed, such as changing the house number, it is necessary to type in the full adress.
Instead I would like to ask for the functionality of applying the search result to the search bar, for being able to modify the search suggestion on the fly.3 votes -
Highways Agency Flag
Can we have a report for Highways Agency under the police section. That are too many false reports for police when it is just Highways Agency going about their day, but it is important to know when HA are around as they can cause hazards

Take one toll on route but avoid another
If there is more than one toll on a route, I would appreciate if we were able to select that we want to take one toll but avoid another.
Eg. I have two tolls on my way to work, one is $5 and saves me 15 min, the other is $6 and only saves me 5 min, so I want the route to take me through the first toll and avoid the second.
Right now Waze will only let me either take tolls or none at all

New danger type: Ford (road crossing low water/river)
New danger type: Ford (road crossing low water / river)
Proposal:
Add a new fixed danger category in WME for "Ford" crossings (roads that pass through shallow water, seasonal streams, wadis, or low-water river crossings).Reasoning:
Ford crossings present a unique and recurring road hazard that is not fully covered by existing danger categories. These locations can become dangerous due to weather changes, flooding, water depth variation, reduced traction, or limited vehicle capability.Benefits:
Improves driver awareness before reaching the crossing
Helps prevent vehicles entering unsafe water conditions
Particularly useful in rural, desert, mountainous, and seasonal flood areas
Supports regions…1 vote -
Driving to work? Let's GO NOW!
When Waze asks "driving to work?" and I tap Go, Waze should just go directly to navigation per my preset preferences - instead of asking me two more times, and having me tap again and again in order to get going!

Warehouse services
Last year, a large apparel shipment for my online store arrived at the Tacoma port completely disorganized—pallets had shifted during the long voyage, boxes were crushed, and SKUs were mixed up, creating a nightmare right before our biggest sales push. After stressing over potential returns and refunds, a fellow importer recommended reliable rework freight services nearby. Their experienced crew in Fife sorted everything meticulously, rebuilt the pallets with proper bracing, repackaged damaged items, and got the inventory back into sellable condition quickly. What started as a potential disaster ended with almost no losses and fast redelivery. If messy or damaged…

Importing a planned route into Waze
My friends and I often go riding with the motorcycle, convertible, or old‑timer.
Most of the time we follow pre‑planned routes that are created in, for example, a .gpx file.It would be a real win‑win if Waze could offer a way to upload these planned routes, combined with real‑time obstacles, roadworks, and controls.
Right now, we can enter our destination and Waze gives us the most recent updates. We’re curious whether it might become possible in the future to import a planned route.
Fingers crossed already.

multiple navigation issues with recent update
- The cancel navigation button is completely unresponsive during a trip when i need to change the destination. I have to press it at least 15-30 times for it to take effect and cancel the navigation, sometimes cancelling and registering the tap on the screen as a tap on a location from a drop down list of recent destinations (which is not the desired change). I then have to spend another bunch of taps to cancel that navigation to input the correct destination.
- After tapping on a destination and selecting "Go Now", having to press "Go Now" a second time confirming…

Зміна часу голосового сповіщення про повороти та зміну полоси
After the latest app update, the voice notifications for upcoming turns or lane changes started being announced much earlier than in the previous version.
In particular, the first turn notifications now begin as far as 1.5 kilometers before the actual turn, even on rural roads, which is inappropriate.
Previously, the notifications worked correctly and were announced shortly before the required turn or lane change (approximately 50 meters in urban areas), which allowed the driver to rely on voice guidance without being distracted by constantly checking the navigation screen.
The current change in notification distances creates a traffic safety risk, especially…1 vote
