If no route chosen, hide previous drives menu so i can see the map.
There is a menu of previous drives that pops up when Android Auto (using Waze) starts up. If I don't choose a destination on that menu (or, create a new destination) after I'm underway please minimize the previous drive destinations so I can see the map. This drive I don't need guidance, but would still like to see the map. Thanks

Stop showing my home address to everyone in the car
There is a menu of previous drives that pops up when Android Auto (using Waze) starts up. Home is the first suggestion, and it shows my home address. I don't want anyone else in the car to know my home address. Please protect my privacy. Labeling it simply as HOME is sufficient. I know my own address.Thank you.

Change is voice directions
First of all amazing app, used google map 4 times in london and got lost every time, first time used this app got me where I needed to every time.
Like to add one small suggestion, I use this app with my phone in pocket and a earpiece so can’t see the screen.

2 major bugs affecting Carplay
For many months now Waze has had 2 infuriating bugs in Carplay
1) Stops dynamically rerouting if I try to check alternative routes. To get it to return to normal I have to close the alternative routes screen on my car's infotainment screen (OK, that's normal), but then I also need to pick up and unlock my phone so I can close the alternative routes display on the phone as well. Until I do that, Waze gets stuck following the highlighted route and stops rerouting if I deviate from the highlighted route. It took me MONTHS to figure out what…

user defined button
Have a couple of user defined buttons on the main screen, so that the user can define what these are for, for their most used functions - my car uses a steering wheel control to navigate around Waze, so to report a pothole (there are many where I live), I have to go down about 4 levels (I think from memory) to get to the pothole button - on steering wheel navigation, that can take 10 seconds, and at 60mph, I'm already around 900 feet away from the hazard. Get the next turn announcement in distance instead of time
Coming from Google Maps, it is frustrating hearing the next turn, announcement in time, I can't even figure out how far am I from that

Fix the Android Auto Coolwalk version
The new version that supports the split view for Android Auto Coolwalk is awful. It completely kills off the main reason why people use the app, reporting.
This version makes me less safe on the road because it requires more interaction on the screen for me to report items. Furthermore, the reporting button is now incredibly small, which requires more focus on the screen to hit it while driving. The combination of more time looking at the screen and having to focus directly on it is a dangerous combination.

To support more signaling option in Waze for Car play
I've noticed that not all signaling options in the iPhone version of Waze are available in the CarPlay version, for example no blocked/closed way is available, so it's not possible to have Waze rerouting ignoring a blocked way.

bug fix
The new update of waze has possibly introduced a bug on Android auto. When in the context of waze it is impossible to exit out of it on android auto i.e. to the menu option. This was working previously when for example the physical back button of my car controls was pressed. Could you please reinstate this as it was i.e. back button on a non touch system android auto highlights the menu option outside of the WAZE context. Tested on google maps and all is good there i.e. back button takes you out of google maps and highlights menu…

RPPs should allow alternate street names
Residential Place Points are limited to a single entry for the Street Name field. This creates an issue when streets have multiple names, not just officially but also in signage at different intersections.
An example, local to myself, is OR-99W. This is a state route, so it has its numbered designation (OR-99W), as well as its route name, which is carried through every city it traverses (Pacific Highway West). However, signage for this road in a single city can and does vary between either of those names, plus other, more localized variations (SW Pacific Hwy, Pacific Hwy (without directionals), etc.).

Allow users to type in names of their favorite retailers, restaurants, gas stations, and more
I would like Waze to notify me of my favorite retailers, gas stations, restaurants and other things along my drive regardless of where I am driving and without me having to search for them and add them as a favorite. If I could have an area in the app where I could type my favorite places in once and then Waze is always searching and notifying me of them as I drive this would be a huge convenience. Road closure options
Would be nice to be able to report a road closure prior to starting trip. I know a major road is closed but I can't report it to be routed around it until I am at the closure
