Traffic sign detection with machine learning
I use waze a few years as my one and only navigation system. In my car is a device holder at the front windows. In Germany we have many highway construction sites. And constant changed street signs are on the highways. Maybe you can add a machine learning system to detect the traffic signs.

Voice Commands
The “ watch out” command is somewhat aggressive and possibly should be changed to a more informational alert like; attention or warning or watch for. The natural reaction when somebody says “watch out” is more high alert then what you are actually calling ones attention to.

Reporting flow
Please streamline the reporting setup to make it more easily done.
You do not allow drivers to type to search yet the reporting can sometimes take 4-5 taps while looking at the phone to find what you want to report exactly(eyes off the road), and got forbid you want to leave a comment. The whole process takes too long and by the time you report, you're sometimes a mile away.
Yes, there is always the option to report later, but part of the fun is knowing you were first to report something ;)

GPS Marker Lag?
I notice some lag from my actual position compared with the GPS marker in the app. Wondering if this is something that is being addressed? iPhone maps doest have as much lag.

Use a voice command to ask from driver for traffic
The most important report in Waze is traffic
Create a voice command to ask from driver who drive slower than allowed speed (for example half) that "is traffic in this Ave heavy" and driver answer "yes" or "no" easily3 votes -
Heads up when new route has toll
When traffic is heavy on toll-free roads, waze redirected me to a new route which had toll (to save me 10 min in total).
My suggestion:
if the new route has toll as compared to the toll-free route: Give me a notification.
Better yet: show me how much toll i have to pay to save me x minutes.
I can then accept the new route WITH toll, or stay on the old route WITHOUT toll.3 votes -
Instant directions
An option to just go for the first results on search without any confirmation. As instantaneous as its machinely possible.
I just love the experience of telling "ok google, take me to XYZ place" and get directoins within 3 seconds. This is what it should feel like driving in 2017.

License plate recognition for mobile radars
The idea would be to use the rear camera of the phone to check the licence plates of the cars, and make OCR to read it.
Then it will be compared to a database where users could report the licence plates of the mobile radars onboarded in cars.
Waze could then alert that there is an onboarded radar on the road, and also alert other users with a flag on the map.

reporting vehicles on the side of the road
when reporting a vehicle on the side of the road, if the "vehicle stopped" icon were on the second screen and not buried, would be safer. 5 user inputs vs. a possible 3 - less time looking away from the road and at the map/device

problem!!!!Missing Section Controll Speed cameras !
In a lot of European countries you have speed-control via section-control, means:
the avgerage speed is measured of a certain distance by taking picture of car when entering and leaving the measuring section.
Unfortunatly currently you can not warn other users of such controls.
On contrary, such controls are only posted as stationary speed-control when entering, which is very misleadingI drive every day Germany swiss...500+ miles track . ( I deliver pockets)
I dont know why but the waze app doesnt sows for you the speed cameras / radars in swiss ,also no option to add this to the…3 votes -

Sres. Waze soy un taxista novato por lo cual no puedo calcular las tarifas cuando un cliente me pregunta el precio hasta un lugar determinado.
Una idea seria que cuando un cliente me diga que lo lleve a una dirección, usar el Waze y tenga una opción del precio a cobrar calculando la distancia y el trafico.
Como se calcularia el precio?
Nosotros pondriamos en una opcion, el precio por KM.
y Waze pondria el precio final al poner nosotros el destino donde ir.

GPS physical waze to leave in the car
I would like to give you an idea, why there is no gps waze, I have on my bike x play the app and it does not work anymore, it does not find the gps signal, it's really missing, could have a physical waze gps, I would buy certainly. get the idea! hug

Subscribe to a stretch of roadway to obtain realtime notifications of any hazards within a geographic area
Certain professional individuals who drive the same road again and again could benefit from a feature where the user is able to subscribe to any new updates on a specific route or specified area, not just what is within map view for the user. As this would be a power user option, it should be able to be enabled in the configuration settings if a user wishes to use the feature. Notifications could come in via either the system notification tray, or via popups within the app. A total listing of what's entered and the thumbs status of each entry…

Waze must be written in correct langage ... so I purpose :
Please replace "Updated 1 days ago" by "Updated yesterday" ... in all langages because "1 days" is not correct .. in french "1 jours" is not correct !!!

Automatic Gas Station Select
When choosing to update fuel prices for nearby gas stations, it would be extremely useful and much safer if the app would automatically select the gas station if only one were to show in the results. The interface could present an option at the top to allow them to add a gas station if the one they were expecting didn’t show up.
By auto selecting the only gas station in the results will make it much better for the user so they can focus more on the road.

Create a waze GPS system apart from an app. Like Tom Tom and Garmin. Keep people off their phones.
Police, Swat, and ambulances use other devices apart from Waze because it is not on a phone and is installed in their vehicles. Allow the public to have a screen that is separate from the phone and it can benefit even the public safety protocols.
