Pin Music Player
It would be nice if you could pin the music player so that way alerts doesn’t close it all the way out.

Waze for new drivers (permits, junior licenses)
In some states (like NY), you are not allowed to drive on certain roads or bridges with a driver's permit. For example, there are several parkways and most of the bridges and tunnels in/out of NYC except the GWB and Lincoln Tunnel. And in NYC, you cannot drive on roads in a park. It would be great if there was an option to select navigation that avoided these particular restricted roads.

recycling Feature
Dear Waze, I am a sixth grader at Spring Creek Elementary in Dallas, Texas. My robotics team and I are working on our project for the First Lego League City Shaper season. The goal of the project this season is to somehow improve our city. We are acknowledging that the world is having a hard time recycling. Re-arranging the waze application display for "landscape" screens
On a 7" car display, which is a "landscape" display, the Waze application displays the "Next turn" box, including the turn description, on about a quarter of the screen, sometimes even larger. The Result is that the on-coming road map is covered by the box, and the "turn area" shows only at the last minute. For such a "landscape" display the screen display should be re-arranged so that the important part of the on-coming map shall not be hidden until the very last minute, similar to the standard "portrait" telephone display.

Report Traffic lights in Android Auto
The button to report faulty traffic lights is already in the mobile version of the app. Can we please get it ported over to the Android Auto version? At any point in time at least 30% of South Africa's traffic lights don't work and it would help many users if a few of us could report from our car displays.

CarPlay - Not able to report Roadwork that is on the side of the road
Why isn't it possible for the Waze CarPlay app to report roadwork in the side of the road? Roadwork is only available on the road.

Tell me the lane number for an accident or debris
For all alerts, please say WHICH LANE the debris or accident or roadkill, etc. is in. That way we will know in advance to change lanes. Number the lanes and put a little lane map on the screen so we all know which lane is which.

CarPlay car audio Navigation volume test addition
I have noticed in two cars (my 2019 Nissan and a 2019 Subaru) that with CarPlay the "Navigation" volume can only be adjusted when the Waze app is actually "saying" something.
It is possible to stimulate a voice response (change to an alternate route and hit "go" or use the microphone to enter a nonsense command).
The addition of a "test navigation sound" to the "sound options" menu in Waze would be a more helpful and direct method to adjust the car's entertainment system "navigation" volume. Waze could just babble about something and show a tool tip "adjust car audio…6 votes -

Google maps will show you routes with a similar ETA right on the map. It would be great if Waze showed this too.

GPS-Provide Street Names
GPS Feature-It would be greatly appreciated if street names are given, especially for turns, e.g., turn left "on Main Street", etc. or red light up ahead on "Stone Street". My car's GPS (which I rarely use anymore) has that feature and it's great. There have been a few times, particularly when approaching a short street, that Waze says turn left and by the time I get to the corner, I realize I was supposed to turn on "that" corner and it's too late. Ads in Complex Intersections
Stop showing ads as I come into an intersection and NEED to see what turn is after the intersection. Same thing with the carpool ad. After I tell you 100 times I can't carpool, stop blocking my turns with useless ads that only annoy.

The Alternative Route Calculation Appears to Disregard Options without Freeways with avoid freeways turned off.
Hi, I’ve noticed on several occasions that when I look at “other routes” with “avoid freeways” turned off, the app will suggest only routes that use freeways, even though some of these have longer time estimates and longer distances than some options that appear with “avoid freeways” turned on.

Multi-day future planned routes + Weather condition integration & notifications coinciding with future route planning
It would be helpful if Waze allowed for planned routes that are regularly occurring to be set e.g. (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm). As well as a notification if there are any weather conditions that may affect that planned commute. If so, a general recommendation of what time to leave to allow for possible traffic build up in order to arrive on time. Essentially it would require weather integration, possibly AccuWeather.
