It is one of the scariest moments drivers could face — heading down the highway or interstate at 70 miles an hour and headlights come straight at you.

temporary places
I've seen a number of places meant to be temporary. For example "Jones-Smith Wedding" or "Start of xxx Bike Race." Having those is probably helpful both to participants and also helps advertise Waze. All that would be needed is a new category and an expiration date.
There is already a suggestion for "ad hoc" places but I don't think the name quite conveys the idea.

Traveling parent icon >>>> clean bathroom icon + restaurant with playzone
As a parents traveling with small children, we are always looking for clean restrooms and restaurants with play zones. It would be nice if there where a waze icon help with this.

Hi it would be nice if Waze can show and arrow and tell us that the destinstion is at our left or at our right
And also if you can add a button to tag car bumps so we can choose afterward to not go to roads that have car bumps

Favela maps in Brazil
Favelas, in Brazil, should be mapped in Waze and users alerted everytime that a proposed traject would enter in one. From a quick search in local
Social Media, you can find history about assaults, robbery, thefts and even murders of waze users that inadvertently followed waze in the middle of a Favela.
Some police offices in Brazil already calls it "the waze victims". And, I'm hearing more and more people complaining about this issue. Yesterday, I almost entered in a Favela following Waze instructions and I can understand what people was talking about...Hope this can help to save lifes.

אני חילמי זועבי מתושבי נצרת וגר ברחוב 5011, אנו בשכונה נתקלים בעומס תנועה כבד ומשאיות גדולות הנכנסות לכביש אשר אין ביכולתם לצאת ממנו אשר הוא כביש צר מאוד והוא לשירות תושבי השכונה בלבד.
כמה פעמים נתקלו שמה משאיות גדולות ורכבים פרטיים אשר הוויז נתן להם הצעה ל לעקוף פקקים ולעבור דרך הכביש ההוא.

Seperation of the green and red selection boxes by puttone one in each corner of the screen
Separate the "Green and Red" balloon check boxes to confirm or deny an event by putting them in opposite sides of the screen instead of right next to each other so I quit fat fingering the wrong one.

Show potential variance in route time
It seems that Waze picks the best route at the time navigation starts.
With all the timing and route information that Waze and Google collects, it should be easy to calculate a good variance for the time of day.
It might be nice if Waze could display a midspread or "middle 50%" time, i.e. the time estimate for 50% of all drivers on that route at that time of day.
So maybe below the estimated arrival of "9:02", it would show "(9:00 - 9:15)"
It'd be even better if it took this into consideration when routing, like preferring a "9:03…

Accuracy
Accuracy is horrible lately. On my latest trip, the time to destination doubled from original estimate. Now I question every Waze route and time estimate given. Extremely disappointed. Fix it.

Display speed limit on Radars
Showing the pop-up when approaching a radar, show the speed limit assigned to the radar.

Traffic Direction/Headings - N, E, E, SW, etc.
It would be helpful to know (and report) what direction/heading the heavy traffic is moving (or not moving) i.e. N, E, SW, etc
When I see heavy traffic icons, I'm not sure if it is on my route or going the other way. I think it would benefit other Wazers, if I could alert traffic conditions in the opposite lanes as well... similar to Police or Accident "on the other side."2 votes -
Notification banner whilst not on top
Hi guys
Quick suggestion.. try to develop a notification for alerts (turns, speed cameras, etc.) for when Waze isn't on top... Just like Google maps navigation does.

evacuation pulsing from disaster areas to prevent gridlock. This would be huge. Lookup pulsing at Burning man for a starting plan.
