Vehicle NOT “car” on side of road
Recent changes to the hazard reporting system has it calling a vehicle on the side of the road always a car, but the majority of the time it’s not a car it seems. Why did it change from vehicle on side of road to car on side of road? It’s like the folks at Waze have never seen a truck.

I love how all your new apps are formatted, but I do wish that you had Police on the move to report on both sides of the interstate I travel interstate 49 every day and I always see Police on the move but I don’t have any way of reporting it thank you. PS I use wave every time I get in my car and tell everybody about it and I just love it.

Reporting
After using Waze religiously for the last 3 years for every journey I have always wanted one change
I think it would massively increase the user experience to be able to report for the other side of the road also. As it stands the only reporting available for the other side of the road is in the crash report

More specific warnings
Can there be an option to report a speed van/camera in Ireland?
Currently speed vans (privately operated) are reported as police which is not accurate but its the closest option however there is a big difference between a parked private speed van and a garda checkpoint/police.Thank you!

Ambulance/Fire/Armed Police Blocking Road
I don’t understand why roadworks get precedence over emergencies. So many emergencies such as ambulances, firetrucks and even police cars regularly close or block roads temporarily causing extreme traffic jams so there should be an option to warn Wazers so they can opt to take a different route. Edit Pothole Location If Passed
sometimes it takes time to click report and select the option of a pothole. But by this time, you have either passed it or are unable to use your phone for Whatever reason such as inability to touch phone screen etc. So having the ability to show on the map where the pothole was would help users of the app avoid the pothole before getting to it as my experiences that I hit the pothole before I’m warned about it. Warning of speed cameras within 500 meters.
Currently, radars are alerted when we are above the speed of the road exactly 500 meters away. If you are below the road speed at 500 meters, but increased your speed between 500 and 0 meters, the warning does not occur. The suggestion is an "IF" logic. SE: speed distance = 500 meters and speed >= "allowed on the road"; alert ON (this is the one that exists). Suggestion: SE: (Radar distance <=500m and speed > "allowed on the road"; Alert ON). Adding roadworks and speed camera to the report list
My Waze maps in Melbourne Australia does not have the option to report roadworks or sneaky pop up speed cameras that sit on the side of the road 🫣 as it's not police it feels wrong to report it as police on the map 🤷

WAZE should add the option to report school zones under Hazard when the school zones are in effect instead of the current "Hazard ahead" as most people report for school zones.

Hazard reporting when not driving
There needs to be a way to report hazards after you’ve driven / not while your in the current area. I’ve been in multiple situations where there has been a hazard like a crash or roadworks where i’m not in a position to be using my phone while driving as to fully pay attention to my surroundings. I feel only having hazard reporting able to work while driving is a bit dangerous and by including the ability to report things you’ve encountered on your drive at home or when your not behind the wheel would benefit the safety of yourself…

Trailer Speed and Seatbelt/Phone Cameras operating in Queensland
Firstly I know there are posts regarding this including mine but I think this needs to be addressed with fresh eyes and open minds.
I understand there is a resistance to showing the Seatbelt/Phone Cameras and I can see the thinking behind it but would like to suggest that a General Warning would be better than none.
Now on to the main part of my idea which is only applicable if Waze have no intentions of giving Wazers three options to report these Trailer Cameras (Unidirectional QPS Speed Cameras, Bidirectional Acusenus DTMR Speed Cameras and the Acusensus Seatbelt/Phone Cameras).

New hazard option
Under "hazards", please add "men working" or "people on shoulder" or something of the sort, it might not always be construction so it does not fall under that category, but sometimes it may be a survey crew, garbage clean up, or landscapers on the side of the road etc. that deserve the same safety that we give the construction workers.

Let us choose the distance at which we get alerted of reports.
Let us choose how far we want to be alerted of something up ahead. For example a box where we can type a value between 0.1 miles/kilometres and 10 miles/kilometres, keeping the decimal value there. Mainly because I think 0.3 miles is a bit too short for things like crashes up ahead or speed cameras etc..
