Video game mapping display
Hi all
I’ve recently had the idea for a video game mapping integration. For example when Waze collaborated with such things as halo you would then be able to see all the buildings, parks rivers, beaches in the style of which they appear in game, I believe it would be a cool fun idea to expand this to many different popular video game franchises. I know it wouldn’t be any thing as far as functionality but I feel Waze has done really well at adding a personal touch to the navigation system and I believe this will be the one…2 votes -
The latest update was actually a "downdate". Last destinations are no longer there, as is the keyboard button on the Apple carplay screen.c

Ghost, or Soap. Call Of Duty Roadmap Voice
I think Waze developer should add Call Of Duty Voice for the direction map. Character such as Ghost, Soap, or Price. They are pretty iconic.

Highway and street name voice alerts
Waze should announce highway and street names like it used to. Busy traffic and directions like strait, right and left can be hard to navigate with heavy traffic and confusing areas.
EG stay right on hwy 35 south or turn right on commerce street.
Strait can be deceiving and confusing when both lanes go strait but they veer off after you pass your exit.2 votes -

In vielen Städten wie Wuppertal veröffentlichen die Behörden wöchentlich Pläne, auf denen die Standorte mobiler Blitzer von Montag bis Freitag angekündigt werden. Mein Vorschlag ist, dass Waze diese offiziellen Daten automatisch integriert, um Nutzer:innen proaktiv zu warnen.
Vorteile:
- Höhere Genauigkeit und Zuverlässigkeit der Blitzerwarnungen durch offizielle Quellen.
- Zeitersparnis für Nutzer:innen, die Blitzer nicht manuell melden müssen.
- Bessere Verkehrssicherheit durch präzise Vorabinformationen.Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten:

Add some ai smarts to Waze in its route planning concerning road steepness and car loading condition
I had to drive over Homestake Pass (an engine and transmission destroyer) in Montana while driving an old and overloaded car in July 2023. Your navigation program needs to have alternative routes built into it to choose from that are easier on a vehicle. I suggest you build that into the route planning. Use embedded AI if need be. If your software could ask the age and condition of the vehicle, it could using that information, suggest less troublesome routes. Am fortunate to be able to improvise. Speed Bump Permanent Hazard Notifications Persistence
The notifications for speed bump style permanent hazards should not stay on screen, once the driver has already driven past it. It does not add any meaningful information to the drive and only acts as a distraction or blocks part of the screen.

Add vehicle on road ahead (currently only offers shoulder option)
Knowing if a vehicle is stopped on the road or on the shoulder is critical. This information could be life-saving. We recommend updating your navigation app to include this feature.

False data due to UI
When sitting in heavy traffic, it blocks the view of ETA status until an alert ‘still there’ or ‘not there’ is not selected, in CarPlay mode.
This makes people report false data just to get back to the ETA screen. They don’t even know if that alert is present or not, leading to various occasions of false data.
Suggestion: to enable that pop up in heavy traffic once the user is closer to that located bubble.

Consolidate multiple construction and lane closure reports on freeways
Driving on a freeway or highway with ongoing construction can result in repeat notifications as close a 8/10ths of a mile apart (on my last trip). When the construction closure is over 10 miles long, this is not helpful.
My suggestion is to consolidate all reports within 3 miles of each other and provide a single notice, ideally with an estimate of the length of the closure.2 votes -

Bonjour, Il serait bien d'ajouter l'option "Eviter les frontières", de la même façon que l'ont peu choisir l'option éviter péage et ferrie. Moi qui habite en France proche de la Suisse par exemple, Waze me fais traverser 2 postes de douane (entrée et sortie) pour aller dans certaines villes qui sont en France de l'autre côté de la Suisse, le problème c'est qu'avec mon vieux 4x4 les frontaliers ne veulent pas que je passent car ZFE! Je suis à chaque fois obligé de prendre des routes un peu hasardeuses, et fini souvent par me perdre, Waze ne me servant plus…

Automatic unit selection based on location/country.
Suggestion for Automatic Speed Unit Switching in Waze
A pop-up window should appear when crossing into a country that uses a different speed unit (km/h or mph), allowing users to switch without interrupting navigation.
For example, I drive in the UK, where I use miles and mph. When I enter France, which uses kilometers and km/h, Waze could display a prompt:
“Would you like to switch to km/h?”
This would let me change the unit instantly instead of stopping navigation and digging through the settings menu.Alternatively, Waze could switch automatically based on location or offer a setting with options…
