can we get an option to prioritise motorways
I just looked up how to get somewhere and google maps gives me 3 routes, all going right through the centre of town which while maybe faster than going a longer route of out to the motorway then back in on the other side of town, it would be far preferable.

Turn on/off display according with the distance to the next junction
t is the best mobile navigation application, having tried many, but for years it is the one I always use. I would like to make a suggestion that I think is important: When we are traveling many kilometers, sometimes the mobiles do not charge us correctly, we have to turn off the screen and be attentive to changes of direction or exits. I suggest that the application turn the screen off and on depending on the proximity to the next detour and traffic warnings. Tolbadge
Als ik een route kies waarin ik door de toltunnel ga, kan ik een tolbadge toevoegen. Echter als ik hierop klik, kom ik in een lange lijst terecht. Handiger zou zijn om direct de desbetreffende tolbadge te kunnen selecteren.
De toltunnel Liefkenshoek in Antwerpen is namelijk onvindbaar voor mij op dit moment. Zoektermen die gebruikt zijn:
- BE
- Lief(kenshoek)
- Tunnel

Google Play Services Permission required
Prior to first time opening waze you need to ensure that 'Google Play Services' has permission to access 'Phone'. If 'Google Play Services' doesn't have access to 'Phone' then waze will skip the start screen (and thus you won't have accepted the t&c's) and you won't see a map (it will be a blank map) and the guest account will not be properly initiated. You won't receive any error messages and the waze app will act up.

You must add toll police
To add icon on the map for toll passes police where it's necessary.

Traffic volume (number of vehicles) per road segment per 5-min interval
It would be great to have a real time information about the number of vehicles that pass through a given location (sensor measuring this info) or through a road segment in five-minute time intervals. Such sampling will give an excellent snapshot of the current status, which is valued by anyone on the road. Especially relevant for city centres but also major highways/freeways.

Toggle between alerts popping up at bottom of screen
Alerts for traffic, pulled over cars, crashes and the like used to pop up on a little banner above the app. Now they appear right above where ETA is shown and is honestly a distraction. Alerts at the top of the map were easier to process and less of a distraction. If there isn't already, ability to toggle between two options of alerts in top banner and alert at bottom of map

A personal vision for Waze+
Given that Waze is in a tension with Google Maps and there is a new CEO with a background in tourism I have compiled a few thoughts.
Let me start out with some tentative abstract differentiators:
Google Maps is for drivers, Waze+ is for all others (too).
Google Maps is about how to get there, Waze+ is more about why to get there.
Google Maps is for the brain, Waze+ is for the soul.A.

I would like to see a 'MyWaze' option for searches.
I typically look for only 2 or 3 three things on my route (Panera, diner, etc). It would be helpful if a user could pre-define certain searches and quickly choose those rather than re-typing them.

Waze CarPlay glitch
When navigating in the background on Waze via Apple CarPlay, and trying to change music on Spotify in CarPlay, if I approach a turn, Waze starts popping up prompting me to return to Waze and see the map. However, when it's a simple instruction like "turn right ahead," I will try to minimize the navigation without viewing the map so I can continue selecting music. But the pop up WILL NOT STOP until I click it and go back to Waze to see the map - there is literally no way to ignore the navigational pop ups when trying to…

There is a slight inconvenience, since the smartphone screen is one third covered by My Waze banner and the entry line for the trip address.
