Have an option to use HOV routes or not
I drive by myself most of the time that I use Waze. Many times two out of the three routes I get are in HOV route. It would be nice if I could opt out of HOV routes and actually have three routes to choose from.

Changing this to Not Planned, as it doesn't fit on our roadmap in the near future. We'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Now they've gone the other way and never route on HOV roads. There should be a way for you do tell waze if you're HOV or not and be routed accordingly

This is the only sensical post about HOV routes. People with a lack of knowledge about the current accuracy of the GPS system don't understand that Waze isn't going to be accurate enough to know exactly which lane they are in, although that accuracy is very near in our future.
The real issue is when certain roadways are HOV ONLY at certain times of the day, like Rt. 66 East into Washington DC. The entire numerous mile section of road, not just a single lane is HOV at certain hours, yet Waze is consistent at trying to shuttle me through there without providing the option to avoid it without me rerouting myself, which it should by now be programmed to know.
