Navigation sound volume
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

"Solution for the low volume on the Waze voice: The volume is driven by the phone "on speaker" volume. Make a phone call and put the phone on speaker. Turn the volume all of the way up and then hang up the phone. Waze volume will now work."

My car doesn't allow me to listen to the radio and have Waze directions through the car audio at the same time. So I have to tell it to play the sound out of the phone speakers, even when connected by Bluetooth. Then when I receive a call, Bluetooth connected or not, Waze shouts at me at a volume many times that of the caller. If I'm connected to have the phone call through car audio, even though Waze is set to play the sound out of the phone speakers it instead shouts at me through the car audio at many times the volume of the phone call. I have to quickly try to reduce the radio volume, tell the other person to hold on, and then turn up the volume a moment later, just to do it again as it shouts at me multiple times about taking an exit and which way to turn and how far to go on that next stretch. It's extremely painful, dangerous, and extremely frustrating.

My previous LG phone always played Waze at a very low volume so I assumed it was normal. Then I got my new LG phone with Android v7.0 and Waze played at a much high volume - for almost three weeks - then it went to a very low volume similar to my old phone. I have tried everything and cannot get the volume back up to a reasonable level.
My wife has an iPhone and has never had a volume issue with Waze.

I heartily concur. It takes two presses, a scroll, and another press to reach the volume setting, and it involves locating all that stuff visually. Why not the phone's own volume control?

Same problem. This problem is new. When play to phone speaker is selected, the volume is now too low. Switch off play to speaker off and then the volume is the fine even though the phone is not hooked up to any outside speaker or device. Samsung Note 5.

I've been trying Waze for a few days and most of it seems ok but I've been struggling with the low volume issue. The fact that I read posts that are almost a year old and the issue still haven't been fixed tell me this is not a serious app/developer. Also the volume settings is really bad, hidden deep in the menu and with no way to manually activate sound to try the volume. I see no reason to keep using Waze, I will uninstall it and go back to my previous navigation app.

I just fixed the low sound. Go into the app settings (wheel with cogs), Sound, Sound Output. Make sure that "Play on phone speaker" option is ticked. Mine was on "play as Bluetooth phone call" and I could not hear it at all.

Volume through speaker is too low. I can't hear prompts when traveling at highway speeds. I have an LG G Stylo on 5.X.

Please put the app volume control on the main screen so it is easier to adjust. It is now buried in Settings>Advance Settings>Sound section which takes at least three touches to get to--VERY DANGEROUS!!! Leads to distracted driving issues.
Many of the problems noted in earlier posts would probably be resolved as many may not know or take the time to figure out how to find where to adjust the volume.
There is already a Sound on/off button on the map screen--just ad a volume slider here.

Increase the available sound decibel level. When sound is played though phone speakers it is too quite, even when set to 100% in the app and 100% on the phone. The max I can get now should correlate to about 15-20% on a normal scale.

I believe that the audio volume when using Bluetooth devices is too low, being the audio regulation inseparable from the smartphone audio itself. While, instead, driving indications’ audio on some occasions should be regulated separately and even put at full blast in order to prevent driving background rumors, lorries or trucks driving parallely, or even the kids’ soundtrack playing in the car, superimposing the audio for the driving indications.

Now the navigation is too low. Even at 100% I can't hear it if my ac is on

In ver. 4 the second part of the navigation command the volume increases to the phone's maximum value. Can't be adjust any way. Command starts on normal volume, ends on maximum.

It would be helpful to have a volume control more easily accessible than the one in the settings menu. Perhaps a volume slider could be added to the Sound Preferences pane.

Bonjour
J'utilise waze depuis quelque temps déjà et j'adore cette App
Une seule chose me gêne vraiment malheureusement
