Other Side Reporting
You used to have "Other Side of Road" for reporting. It was AWESOME and I used to report vehicles on the other side on the shoulder, and appreciated getting the notification about that. It's only available with the Police now; please bring that back. Why did you take it away?
Thank you for your suggestion!
This suggestion will not be implemented for the time being. Adding more and more options to reporting, especially for less popular types of reports such as other side which will also require another window/card, is not something we are aiming for at the moment. Please be aware that other side reporting is already available by voice using the Google Assistant! We believe investing in voice can create essentially a better and more scalable experience and we hope to bring it to more languages soon.
Stay tuned for more features and updates on Waze’s social pages on Facebook and Instagram.

It would very helpful to be able to indicate which side of the road a hazard/construction/police/crash/etc is when you post it. This could let you know which side of the road you should go to avoid it. Additionally this will make it easier to be sure when you report that something is no longer there.

C'est une option qui a disparu.
Elle était pourtant très utile pour signaler un danger (en sens inverse) surtout sur les routes secondaires qui sont moins fréquentées.
La réactivation de cette option serait souhaitable -

In the app you can select that the police are on the other side of the road. When using the app connected to CarPlay this option is gone. Please enable all features that the regular app has into the functions we have access to in CarPlay. I feel like this should be a given. Thank you.

Hello It often turns out that some motorists on the ring roads take the opposite direction, on your application the report does not appear. It would be very useful to warn vehicles that are facing the collision Thank you Happy holidays

Sugiro poder informar qual faixa da via tem o perigo, acidente ou carro quebrado, facilitando assim os motoristas começarem a desviar com antecedência, evitando acúmulo próximo ao local, ou também permitir desviar de buracos.

Great to hear you believe that voice can create a better more scalable experience, however, this alienates users who don't have access to or who don't wish to use voice control on their phones.
Until this feature comes back, my android app review will remain at one star.

When I hear "car stopped on shoulder ahead" I would like Waze to tell me if it is the right or left shoulder!

Please bring back this option! I just passed a disabled vehicle on the other side of the road stopped in the middle lanes. It caused many accidents behind it because no one knew there has to be a way to report that

Bring something back that actually works to replace the “other side” feature that was eliminated with the most tecent update. This feature was incredibly helpful and beneficial on road trips. Passengers/copilots can mark the sources of traffic (such as an accident that completely closes all southbound lanes of the interstate) And can provide notification and information to travelers who are sitting backed up 20 miles north of the incident only seeing notification of “heavy” or “standstill traffic”. Having the ability to indicate accidents or traffic or hazards allow people like me to notify thousands of frustrated travelers that an accident has closed the interstate and that is the cause of their “standstill” or “heavy traffic” and even to provide a warning to those that have not yet come upon the backed up traffic. This feature can really help wazers use Waze in the ways that it was created to work, by one person helping another to make traveling by car easier and more efficiently. If im a passenger, and i see that the other side of the freeway is all backed up, or i see a bad crash, or i see a mattress fly off the roof of a minivan why restrict me from posting it where it will alert the drivers that will be impacted by the hazard I’ve just passed on their side of the road??!! Please have the “UH-OH” pop-up show up and confirm that i am the passenger and not the driver when posting alerts. But I reiterate, as do SO many other requests on this space, PLEASE provide the capability to post alerts for “OTHER SIDE” for TRAFFIC, and HAZARD. Please consider providing passengers the abulity to post “OTHER SIDE” alerts for ROAD CLOSURE on a temporary basis due to traffic accidents, temporary/nightly lane closures, and/or local construction due to flooded out roads and downed bridges.

The people traveling in the opposite direction of traffic backing up are unable to report it, yet they are the ones in the best position to see where it begins and where it ends, i e., heavy traffic.
They have restored the opposite side of the Road accident reporting. -

The app is only half as effective without this...
Also need a 'both sides' option such as construction with temporary traffic lights. -

This was a HUGE benefit whether it be a disabled vehicle, roadkill, animals near road, construction, etc. They are of help to other drivers and all things that might not be reported for some time from someone with Waze going in the direction of the hazard. I used this on highways and normal roadways.
Every update I hope this is added back in. Not sure why you'd take away a feature - aren't updates to add items?
The fact that this request thread goes back multiple years leads me to believe that Waze developers aren't reading these???? I hope that's not the case, however it was a feature - so its just adding back code vs writing it.

I tried to report a major obstacle on the other side of the road of a dual carriageway and could not do so? This was huge as something fell off a truck right in the middle of the roadway and I was completely unable to assist fellow wazers!
PLEASE bring back "other side of the road" hazard reporting!

Please bring back this feature.
Sometimes you can detect bad traffic ie standstill on the other side of the road that hasn't been reported and I'm sure Waze users would want to know and avoid.

It is extremely helpful to report if there is an accident on the other side of th road, traffic is backed up, police have closed the highway, and vehicles are being rerouted. People would appreciate to know why the situation so they might want to stop and take a break rather than being rerouted on small routes with everyone else.

I hate the new update.. so, what is the reason why we can't report on the other side..??? Why do people fix things don't need fixing. No need to reinvent the wheel

This would provide significantly more advanced warning of hazards. As it is now, an unsuspecting wazer must first find, then report hazards. Hazards that drivers in the opposite lane have already seen, but couldn't report. Also, I'd like to second the benefit of being able to identify a problem in the medium that could influence both directions of travel. This is elementary, I can't see a good reason not to bring back this feature.
