Lane Guidance
While using Waze on highways lately, I have begun to think that having the ability to see what lane becomes the off ramp would be great, especially in complex city interchanges.
Great news! The Lane Guidance feature is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

How can we help Waze to bring this feature up to speed? We desperately need it on Waze. I still have to use google maps for navigation, while keeping Waze running in the background. :(

This is an essential feature while driving in cities. I am surprised that an app as popular as waze doesn't have this feature. Our cities are getting complex for driving, knowing the lane to be in would increase driver safety many fold.
How can we bring this essential feature to the Waze team's notice?

there is an app called "HereWeGo", the lane assistance is absolutely accurate. Have tried it in Singapore and Malaysia, have not encountered any traffic junctions without getting the wrong information on which lane is turning only, straight only or turning+straight going lane.
Too bad that app is not available in CarPlay, its other features are also not as good as Waze -

Do you all have any intentions on adding lane assist to Waze? What can we do to help assist and speed up this development? This is such a needed feature that can help both the old and the young navigate in complex cities and not have to cut people off and even lose their lives due to road rage. People use your app everyday and all we're asking is that you help save lives and prevent accidents by implementing lane changing so that folks can continue their safe driving. Please, please be mindful and help us to arrive alive at our destination by adding Lane Assist.

100% needs to be added. Google navigation has it and you can navigate much easier knowing the lane your supposed to be in. When I recommend Waze to other users that have used any other android navigation. First complaint they tell me about is the lack of lane assistance.

It drives me crazy when there are 3 lanes and there is an upcoming split in the road with the middle lane going in either side of the split.
Waze tells me to stay left so I get in the left lane. then after the split Waze tells me to stay right and now I have to swing over from the left lane. Ughhhh.
Why not tell me to stay left in the middle lane which then puts me in position to be in the right lane after the split.
Teaching Waze to use the term "Middle Lane" should not be hard and would be very helpful! -

Just a simple color change is enough, my friend uses Waze and I am usually the Navigator so he can focus on driving, the amount of times I didnt notice we had to take the off ramp is more than I can count

This would be great! Ideally something similar to Google maps as this perfect for routes you are unfamiliar with! Especially at roundabouts

Seems trivial to implement by adding lanes to turns.
For example, if there's an exit with 2 lanes, then the turn for that exit would make two exit arrows.
Take this a step further and add lane counts to segments and that would then allow the app to draw arrows for all lanes appropriately. For example, a 3 lane road, with an exit of two lanes, would show three arrows, two exiting, and one straight.
Trivial to implement from a UI/Editor standpoint, much more complex from a routing engine standpoint I guess.

Would love this! Definitely one thing that Google Maps has that Waze needs, it was reason why I switched to Google Maps for a short while.

I would love this! I have a Garmin with lane assist and it's invaluable. I bought a car that has carplay and like how Waze integrates with the car eliminating the need for built-in GPS and my Garmin, but I really miss lane assist.

Any chance this feature will be implemented before the 10th anniversary of this suggestion? ;)

The fact that WAZE is not displaying what lanes to follow for interchanges or turns etc. while other navigation apps do that for a time now, tells me that this may be an "internal" issue with Google Maps competition. Can't think of other reasons (and I've seen that "competition" among product teams in a company before). So, while nobody will ever admit that in public, there's no other reason to not develop that feature for so many years that people ask about it.
