Lane Guidance
While using Waze on highways lately, I have begun to think that having the ability to see what lane becomes the off ramp would be great, especially in complex city interchanges.
Great news! The Lane Guidance feature is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

100% needs to be added. Google navigation has it and you can navigate much easier knowing the lane your supposed to be in. When I recommend Waze to other users that have used any other android navigation. First complaint they tell me about is the lack of lane assistance.

It drives me crazy when there are 3 lanes and there is an upcoming split in the road with the middle lane going in either side of the split.
Waze tells me to stay left so I get in the left lane. then after the split Waze tells me to stay right and now I have to swing over from the left lane. Ughhhh.
Why not tell me to stay left in the middle lane which then puts me in position to be in the right lane after the split.
Teaching Waze to use the term "Middle Lane" should not be hard and would be very helpful! -

Just a simple color change is enough, my friend uses Waze and I am usually the Navigator so he can focus on driving, the amount of times I didnt notice we had to take the off ramp is more than I can count

This would be great! Ideally something similar to Google maps as this perfect for routes you are unfamiliar with! Especially at roundabouts

Seems trivial to implement by adding lanes to turns.
For example, if there's an exit with 2 lanes, then the turn for that exit would make two exit arrows.
Take this a step further and add lane counts to segments and that would then allow the app to draw arrows for all lanes appropriately. For example, a 3 lane road, with an exit of two lanes, would show three arrows, two exiting, and one straight.
Trivial to implement from a UI/Editor standpoint, much more complex from a routing engine standpoint I guess.

Would love this! Definitely one thing that Google Maps has that Waze needs, it was reason why I switched to Google Maps for a short while.

I would love this! I have a Garmin with lane assist and it's invaluable. I bought a car that has carplay and like how Waze integrates with the car eliminating the need for built-in GPS and my Garmin, but I really miss lane assist.

Useful I.e. “use the right two lanes to exit to I-5 North.

Any chance this feature will be implemented before the 10th anniversary of this suggestion? ;)

The fact that WAZE is not displaying what lanes to follow for interchanges or turns etc. while other navigation apps do that for a time now, tells me that this may be an "internal" issue with Google Maps competition. Can't think of other reasons (and I've seen that "competition" among product teams in a company before). So, while nobody will ever admit that in public, there's no other reason to not develop that feature for so many years that people ask about it.

Completely agree. Maps has this in two ways:
- Group of arrows at the instructions bar, with the ones you don't need dimmed.
- Voice instructions tell you which lanes to use. -

Any updates in this feature? There are many comments around the Webex about Waze being abandoned and this feature never going to be released as result.

very handy in places like Georgia and Illinois that seem to suddenly add a lane on the left and turn the right lane into an exit lane with no warning.
