Just downloaded Waze and this is first thing I noticed. Would love to use the app but until this fixed I’ll have to stay with Apple Maps.

This is the only reason I switch to other navigation apps. I prefer Waze, but the speed limit is hard to see on a phone mount. If this is added, I’d stay on Waze permanently.

I agree. Who needs a second speedometer? All you need is the speed limit. The car already has a speedometer.

This is the #1 reason I keep deleting Waze and going back to Google Maps and Apple Maps.

Please add an option for speedometer that will only show the speed limit and not your current speed!! As others have said, cars already provide this info, but not the limit from road signs. I also don’t want to worry passengers in the car who may see it on my screen with a blaring red signal.

Please remove the speedometer and just show the speed limit

There is already a similar request here with more votes -to be able to increase the size of speedometer and the limit. Some configuration would be much appreciated as I can’t see the limit while driving. Pretty please ❤️

Please do go through with this request - there really is no reason to have the car's speed on the Waze map, every car has a speedometer! And I also agree, the size of the speed limit box could be larger.

Create a feature to hide the speedometer, and give the speed limit a bigger display. Google Maps has this feature, where you just tap the screen where it is, and the speedometer will hide away, and it'll simply show the speed limit. Waze team, this obviously has been asked for for over a year now, it shouldn't be so difficult to roll out in a future update. I'm enjoying your app far better than Google Maps so far, but I honestly would go back soon if this doesn't get fixed.

This is an excellent idea. Knowing the road speed limit on screen is far more important than seeing the displayed speed because all vehicles have speedometers to do this. Waze is a good app but to make it great please make the speed limit larger and either remove the actual speed or at the very least make it smaller than the speed limit. A user definable size would be brilliant!
Note there is also a very similar suggestion to this one with over 1000 votes so far.

My suggestion here would be very simple. As the speed limit sign already pops up when i am over the speed limit, just make the speed limit sign sensitive to touch (as a toggle) - so when i click on the speed limit sign, it would make it bigger (permanently).
If you click again, it would make it smaller.
I would not place it over speed display - that is still useful as car speedometer is not very precise (it would result in toggling the size to see actual speed often).
Ideal would be to keep it in the current position and just change size.

2025 and the speed limit still is way to small on larger screens and tablets!

Honestly, it was not considered, more than a year ago, it was changed for "Under consideration" and till now, the speed limit is ridiculous tiny when using a tablet.

Apple Maps allows you to see the speed limit alone on the center console display as shown on the roads. Why can’t Waze maps also include that feature where we see the speed limit and not the speedometer?
An option should be added to the speedometer settings in Waze to allow those who want to have only the speed limit shown, in a larger font. (Because currently it’s too tiny to see…)
We don’t need speedometer displayed because every car has an inbuilt speedometer, for crying out loud… LoL

Yes please! This is probably the one issue I have with Waze that I'd like to see corrected. On Android Auto, the speed limit is considerably larger and easier to read. On CarPlay the speedometer size is ok but I can't tell the difference between 110 and 100 KPH in the speed limit display.

For years drivers have complained about the speed limit display on screen is way too small on automobile screens. Why can’t this be fixed? All other mapping applications have larger speed limit signs. We users are complaining because we like the benefits of Waze. Please address this important issue.

It would be great if the speed limit would be displayed closer to the driver, on the left-side corner of the infotainment display for the left-hand driven cars.

Although I have Waze on my car's 10" infotainment display (CarPlay), the speed limit is difficult to read. I would prefer the speed limit info to be larger and positioned in the left-side corner, closer to the driver, rather than in the right-side corner.
I would also prefer not to be distracted by the overlay showing the car's actual speed.

It would be useful to have an optional display of the difference between the speed limit and the car's current speed (red for excees speed, and green for running below speed limit), as speeding tickets are based on this difference.

This could be a setting instead of how it is. Then people have choice or not

Have the option to have just the speedometer and the speed limit appear with the app runing in the background, similar to how tomtom amigo has it. This way users can use other apps or other navigation apps whilst still having the speed displayed on screen and still recieve alerts and warnings.
