It would be good, if the App can run like normal when the phone is locked onto the Home Screen. (It will still look like the normal view).

Having it appear on the lock screen, will prevent any issues if the device is stolen etc, as normally the app would still have to run when the phone is open, but poses a risk for certain issues.

Let us be able to see the navigation on the lock screen and to have Waze determine some of the traffic instead of relying solely on the users.

There is a lot of robberies happening in the country where I live (Brazil) aiming mainly those who are driving with their phone on the dashboard using WAZE.

As it prevents the phone to lock, thief has access to all your data including WebBanking apps, SMS (which allows you to change passwords) among others.

My suggestion is to make the app work in an instance where the phone is locked (like Spotify or the native camera already does, allowing access to functionalities of those apps only), thus limiting the access of someone who picks up the phone while WAZE is open.

This is configured through the OS of the device, not by the app. And it’s already possible on both Android and iOS so no reason for Waze to work on something like that themselves.

In Brazil, many cellphones are stolen from inside the cars while waze is open, which allows criminals to have full access to other apps.
It would be nice if there was a way for waze to run on the locked screen, so that we can still see the map, but the phone would have to be unlocked in order to access anything else.

Locking your phone and have the app pop up here and there when you're coming up to a turn etc. This would save phone battery as well as you're phone is constantly unlocked, especially during long drives.

Hi! When navigating, especially longer journeys, the battery can drain rather quickly when not on charge.... and also takes a long time to charge when on all the time!
This can be solved by adding a command to temporarily wake the device and show the map on-screen when the next instruction appears.
The original iOS map does it and GooMaps.... but Waze is the best so I don’t use them!

Carjacking is on the rise in Hawaii. Many of us use WAZE to get around the gridlock. It is my understanding that WAZE prevents a phone from timing out and locking itself. This feature may be used against the user after a carjacking situation since the user's contacts and other phone features/data is now open/available and could be copied/downloaded.

Are you going to update the app so I can lock my phone and still see the navigation?

Being able to continue access to waze when phone is locked, and direction continues to display on locked screen.

It is ridiculous that Google can do this but not Waze.

I suffered a robbery and I worry about favorite data store in my cell phone like Home address, work address and visited usual address. In some countries thieves sells the stolen cell phones, the buyer can be an extortionist who uses the cell phone's data. We should be able to close sessions, block accounts or even delete data when our phone was lost or stolen.

Google maps navigation can do this, I would be nice if Waze could as well!

Venho sugerir a opção de bloquear a tela durante a navegação, pois como não tenho onde fixar o celular, ponho no bolso e uso fone de ouvido, porem a tela fica acesa.

I'm motorcicle rider and I use Waze very often.
I suggest the lock screen option during navigation. Since I don't have any place to carry the cellphone I put it in my pocket using headphones but the screen keeps on.

To allow Waze to continue giving direction when locked or when out of the app. (Like google maps)

With Waze 4.0, this is the only feature i miss. And i think it's espesially important for phones with oled displays because the image might burn into the screen with heavy use.

My wife's iphone does this and mine does not :(

I agree! Waze definitely needs to show in the lock screen. It would be much more convenient.
