Ad a hight restriction for trucks or cars with trailers

I got this from WAZE this morning in a email after I suggested a Lager vehicle like a Motohome.

As a community-based traffic and navigation app, Waze was created as a social navigation tool for private cars. Because of that, we don't currently support navigating in lanes dedicated to public transportation, bicycles or trucks.

There really should be a choice for a lager vehicle like a Motorhome as a selection in vehicle types. These type of vehicle are a bit slower and can not navigate all the same streets.

Have a mode that you can set to haulage/Trucker mode. It will ask you for your weight, height, length and width of the vehicle and then after the data of all dimension and weight signs are loaded onto the app by the huge editor network it can then plan the route to avoid such restrictions. It will beat the market on any HGV driving app. A lot of apps are out of date, or the user base isn't interested in "editing" the map or don't really work properly with the route finding to avoid a weight restriction for example. Particularly in London. So as Waze is amazing at route planning and has huge potential in this field I think it would be a brilliant idea.

Create an option for and account for increased weight, height and maneuvering room for towed vehicles. There are certain roads and bridges that will not accommodate these.

Yes this is extremely needed in cities, especially major cities like London where larger SUVs, Range Rovers etc. cannot go down specific roads due to the 6ft6 restriction

Why don’t you develop a LGV version for UK roads which incorporates weight limits, height limits and avoids low bridges it would be a revelation for UK truckers, you could sell the app to UK trucking companies for a small fee

Duplicate of other similar suggestions. Indeed driving an EV at lower speeds will take less power from the battery. If one route is over FW types and another route uses non-FW types, the latter will likely conserve battery. The navigation apps in most EVs can take this into account and suggest routes accordingly (mine does) - Waze should be able to as well.

We ended up on a road with no height restriction that we should have never been on, clipped the ladder a little because could not get off the road or turn around

A navigation option for commercial vehicles. I.E. avoiding parkways specifically in New York.

Waze seems to love those country lanes. It's taken me through a single car width one (traffic coming both ways) in pitch black darkness and heavy rain before. This morning it opted for another one over the motorway where a lorry had broken down, cauising me to be late.

A feature where a truck driver would put in the height of their truck and receive an alert if they were approaching a low bridge or possible height hazard.

To all wazers please don’t use this app while driving a truck it’s a small vehicle app kool

Please add trucking navigation to the number 1 navigation app Waze is the best app and to add trucking would be a big boost to a already well rated app
