The UK is infested with 6'6" width restrictions (1981mm). Modern cars and most electric vehicles are too wide too wide to navigate them. As a result, Waze is useless to drivers of such a vehicle in the UK and most especially in London. As many previous suggestions have noted. it would be easy to add this data to Waze and then allow the user to enter their vehicle width so that they are not routed through these width restrictions.

To illustrate that this is a problem, the following non-exhaustive list shows several modern vehicles and their widths, along with a clearance on either side of the wheel should the driver negotiate the channel perfectly in the centre. As you can see, getting through them is flatly impossible for some and just a question of luck for most.

And Waze will guaranteed route your car through one of these during a trip through London. Probably more than once.

I would like you to add features to vehicle details so you can set e.g. the motorhome's dimensions, weight and maximum speed.

Height, Width and optionally Weight would be very helpful for avoiding narrow single track roads (that Waze seems to love) and low bridges when you have a Range Rover Discovery with top-box or an RV. @Pioneer_Car_UK on Instagram are promoting their RV router, surely Waze does not want to lose an audience ?

Ik en vele zouden het praktisch vinden als er in Waze een optie zou komen voor caravan en aanhangwagen. Dat de route wordt berekent aan max 90KM als je met 1 van beide rijd. Ook een optie toegelaten gewicht, bv ik ben in totaal 5Ton dat ik de wegen waar je niet toegelaten wordt door te rijden vermeden worden.

Vous serez-t-il possible avant toute recherche de trajet de faire monter un pop up pour savoir si vous êtes un véhicule léger ou un poids lourd?
En effet, ma rue (37 rue de Guirauton 33700 Mérignac) est interdite aux poids lourds (ange Rue du logey/rue de Guirauton) et pour autant avec les travaux dans notre ville ils passent tous par chez nous.
Au delà de la taille des camions il s'avère que nous avons un dos d'âne devant chez nous et que le poids des camions fait trembler nos maisons.

The app would be perfect if we could enter the dimensions of our Motorhomes to keep us on suitable routes for length and weight of the vehicle, ie 8.1m and 4250kgs.

A lot of users may not be aware of this area, I found it by accident. I still use Waze with a bus icon because I think it works better and is more user friendly than the Rand McNalley navigation device. Adding RV features for road info like bridges, weight limits and roads not appropriate for RVs in the existing app or a separate app would get a lot of use I believe. I’d definitely spread the word.

אשמח מאוד עם תגדירו משאיות ואוטובוסים במערכת כיום יש מאות אלפי נהגי רכב כבד שמשתמשים באפליקציה הדבר יהיה נכון לעושת גם מבחינה שיווקית וגם מהעובדה שיש הרבה יותר נהגי רכב כבד על הכביש כול הזמן לעומת פרטי שמגיע לעבודה וזהו נגמר הפידבק ממנו הרכב הכבד נמצא בכול פינה של הארץ וכול היום בתזוזה בכביש לכן הדיווח ממנו אמין ביותר ולדעתי ישפר את האפליקציה.

I frequently tow a caravan. I have android auto. But if I use Waze I end up being routed down roads that are totally unsuitable and dangerous for me and other road users. Vans, trucks, motorhomes, buses, ambulances and fire engines must all have this problem.
Surely it is no brainer.
