Please, give us an option for caravan, camping-car and big véhicule, to have large and cool road !!!!
I have a big old caravan, ad sometimes, road are not ridding easy with it.
It's possible to have an option like motorway or not, for ridding cool and secure with big and large truck, caravan or camping-car?
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

While I get your frustration, I don't see how this is Waze's issue. A public street is a public street. And how do you know that every driver you see is using Waze? And state DOTs regulate public infrastructure, not apps....

When will Waze support commercial or towing vehicles?

I've happily used Waze for many years now, and this is the only addition that it's missing. Come on waze developers make it happen please.

I get the idea behind Waze. But in our neighborhood Waze is creating dangerous conditions for other drivers and pedestrians. I live in an area of single family houses and townhouses on a narrow street with parking on both sides. Other streets are similar. We get countless commuters exceeding the speed limit who are being rerouted to avoid congestion on the Washington, D.C. Beltway and Tysons. And now we are seeing heavy dump trucks rolling down a narrow residential street as if it were a truck route. Someone will be killed. Do you care? Waze needs to be regulated by state DOTs.

I travel a lot around the uk in various size vehicles, coaches and articulated lorries, it would be an awsome addon if waze could update their app to accommodate large vehicles to prevent getting stuck down narrow and height, weight restricted roads.
There millions of us out there that would benefit from an addon like this, so please Waze can you sort something out ? -

Truck, rv, towing a caravan or trailer mode is a great idea. Not only do you have to drive slower but there are many roads that are simply unsuitable for larger vehicles to drive on. An option where you can avoid unsuitable roads while in a larger vehicle or towing would make life easier for all road users. Let's face it nobody wants to meet me on an r road with my caravan and not be able to pass me safely.

An option under ‘vehicle settings’ to allow you to set your ‘driving speed/style’ speed to be adjusted would be good. Currently, Waze algorithms assume that you will be travelling at the maximum permitted speed for the road type, with an automatic adjustment for traffic levels. I'd suggest either a user-input maximum speed setting (in mph or km/h) which would allow for vehicles with a lower top speed. Alternatively settings saying 'normal driving speed', 'a bit slower' and 'a lot slower'

In addition to providing specific truck routes for operators, during a recent multi-day road trip it occurred to me that designating a road as a "truck route" quote would be beneficial for all drivers. Some people do not like driving with large amounts of trucks and others prefer to drive their cars on the routes the truckers take.
Designating a road as a truck route would also increase awareness since traveling on the road with increased numbers of semi's requires a different level of attentive driving -

Truck route options would be great. Guidance through cities and avoiding weight limitations. Could also help find Hazardous Material Routs

Here in the UK some motorways have begun the upgrade to "Smart Motorways" these open an extra lane and change the speed limit based on the current traffic conditions.
It would be really great if Waze could jump on the idea early, perhaps including the option to set a road as variable in the map editor then allow users on the road to select the current speed limit

Yes! In the settings for navigation you could have a selection for Trailering/RV/Truck that could route around 'no truck' routes and also allow crowd sourcing to warn others pulling of difficult passageways, so we don't get stuck on roads that may allow large vehicles but still difficult terrain.

I would like to set my own speeds for different road types. Use case: sometimes I prefer to not take the motorway and rather driver smaller roads most of the time and only use the motorway when you save a lot of time/distance.
Back in the 90's I used Route 66 on my computer and it allowed me to set the calculation speed on different road types. If I set motorways to 50-70 km/h exactly what I described in the previous paragraph happened - it calculated routes that mostly avoided motorways but used them when it was efficient.

Waze isn't made for trucks, I'm often suck behind a truck going through a city center at a snails pace because they are following a detour suggested by waze meant for cars. Therefor slowing down everyone on the detour and making that route just as slow as the traffic the detour was trying to avoid in the first place. There are specialized gps's for trucks available see the app store.

As a truck driver in Europe is drive slower on the motorway. If I use Waze it always shows me what time I arrive if I would drive a car. Is there an option to lower the max speed in the app. This would make it more useful for me.
