Create a route is why I am here blogging. A way to create a route on a screen like the map editor map on a pc. Which then would load into your mobile app just like a destination except it being a route. Then the ability to share the route with friends would be a big hit for us motorcyclist and also for rally events when there is a group taking a predetermined route. It could also be used on vacations to choose a route that hits all the places you want to go including those nice back roads that offer great scenery. You could easily charge for this app feature/upgrade as most gps that offer this feature are quite a bit more expensive, and they don't have the road hazards that are even more important to us motorcyclist. I know our motorcycle group would use this, a lot of us are using waze now in our cars.

It would be nice to have the option to click on the map to choose a specific road to take on your route. I know that when you choose to look at the map to choose a route there are 3 options but it would be nice to be able to touch a street or highway that you would like to re-route or take on your route.

What if you could enter online and set some path alternatives from home to work? At the moment you leave, Waze will inform the ETA for each of them, and you choose.

Function from my old navigation-device:
- locking of actually from waze routed track sections for the next 200m, 500m,1000m, ...
Only while actual navigation, because of traffic jam, road works, accident, demonstrations!

I love it to change my actual routing that way only the next n-meters without knowing which of the next cross streets are the best alternative route and anyone blind alley.

And I love it to know about the alternative route BEFORE I unknowlingly turn off the next street to give it a try, maybe a fail.

Yes, this. I sometimes drive from south of Boston to mid-Rhode Island and I'd like to enter my destination like 123 Main St via 18, 106, 24, 495, 295, post rd and have it use those roads (including realizing that the best way from 495 to 295 is 95S.

I would be really nice if Waze could implement a learn mode. After recommending the same route every day and seeing the user take some other route. Waze should be able to figure out that may be the user doesn't plan to use the route it is recommending and instead suggest the route the user is going to take anyway.

Quick Reroute with user input from main map

I would like to see a quick reroute option on the map area, lets say you are in traffic and you would like to reroute out of that area to get to your destination, currently I keep getting navigated to the same route or need to start driving and ignore the suggestion to turn around to get away from the traffic.

It would be nice if I could just click on the arrow (your car) in the navigation screen and drag right or left to let Waze know to reroute in the direction I would like to get away from the traffic in. Then it could reroute away from that area and not just tell me to turn around. This will make it easier to reroute with less interaction.

This came to me as a feature while waiting in traffic after a football game, none of the routes had me quickly leaving that area other than just picking a road and having it recalculate on it's own.

If I could just tell it the direction to reroute me ahead of time while in traffic and not wait for the loading that happens sometime it would be great. Would be a good feature when in a bumper to bumper area.

Maybe have a menu pop up when you touch the car and drag the direction you are leaving the traffic into that can prompt for things like, backroads, avoid road, route around next mile. Just a thought.

At enter a target i want to choice a waypoint. For example: target: street xxx at town xxx and over street yyy town yyyy

Feature request: let me create a custom route as I go, not necessarily the fastest or shortest. For some reason it's the route I use everyday, and waze will never 'learn it' as its currently implemented. Let me record my route and store it with a name under custom routes.
No need to share it, because its only useful for myself, but anyway waze could pick up nav statistics and users could submit reports as usual.
This would extend functionality and fill a gap that the app is lacking comparing to other products.

Sometimes it's ok to cross a solid line to make a turn. It's not legal but cops are ok with it for motorcyclists only, not for cars. I wonder if waze can use my navigation records to calculate route with "exceptions".

Add the ability when putting in a destination to add a road or route you want to travel by. If you are going to NYC as a destination Waze client gives you 3 choices, but if you have a specific road you want to travel by you should be able to put that in.

Now you can simply add waypoints

The idea is to make possible the edition of the route by dragging it to where you want it (as seen on the desktop web version of google maps), which could, by addition, work as a multi-stop feature.

I would greatly like to see the option to "creat a route". I have a few destinations that every time I drive there waze takes me on a horrible route and still wont auto learn my routes. When going home waze takes me to the correct address but I cannot park on the street in front of my house. I have to turn on the street before and go around to the back where my driveway is. It should also get the option for when you arrive at a certain destination, you can save and title it as well a save the route driven both while using navigation and not.

Currently when you hold down your finger on the map, a bunch of options come up (add as destination, add as starting point, etc.) Add an "Add as waypoint" button.
