More English Voice Options with Street names...
We need more options for voices!
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

In the settings, you can enable the display of the names of all streets in English only, regardless of the country. This had to be done initially. You lose a lot of users due to the lack of this option.

You use to give the name of the street to turn left or right. Now you're just giving left or right. When you are going somewhere new, or are lost, you really need full support. Why did you change this part of the directions?

I am using waze app for years. It is very nice and I love it. Nowadays I updated my IOS Waze app to version 4.55.2 but unfortunately this version does not have any English Voice with Street names as before!!! Please add this feature again. Thanks a lot.

Instead of saying “turn left in .2 miles” I would like for it to say the street name instead cuz I end up having to look down at my phone instead of paying attention to the roads

When travelling abroad I would like to hear what I see (that is local language destination or way point or direction with correct local pronounciation accompanied with my set language (e.g. written direction sign Wien, pronounced as Veen (as it is a German word and I navigate through German speaking Austria but accompanied with correctly pronounced translation of the place name in my language if exists, here Vienna in English or Vídeň in Czech.

I know many have posted this, but maybe if you hear it enough you'll do it. Not being provided with specific exit names leaves me feeling unsure at times.

What happened? All the sudden the WAZE lady's voice is weird and she no longer gives street names. She just says to turn left in 0.1 miles - which I have no idea of. PLEASE! Bring it back to the way it was.

Voice Navegation needs more volume in German version,French version and Portugues version. It is imposible to follow the instruccion with such volume. It is not aloud anoug.
English,Spanish and Italian versions are good,excelent. -

When used in Québec, the currently available English navigation voices absolutely butcher the French street names. Although sometimes entertaining, it does get tiring after a while.

To help with breaking the ice with new passengers, how about giving us more options to change voices instead of having the same ones. What happened to Arnold's and Morgan Freeman's voices??

Add males voice options that include street names

My suggestion is that you will implement "Where am I" functionality , it can be also integrated into the "center" button on the navigation map.
Upon activating this feature the software will trigger a voice notification of where you are located right now.Short example , while driving in Israel road #6 you are triggering the functionality and notified the following --> "You are driving on road #6, you have passed Horashim interchange and headed towards Eyal interchange"

It is already the case that we give ramps names based on the destinations indicated for them on the Big Green Signs. However, such signs also exist for at-grade intersections, and it would be nice to allow these to be given as verbal guidance. It is not uncommon in some areas for these navigational directions to be far more prominent than signs for the name of the road itself, which would mean allowing Waze to say them would be a big help for drivers.. This could be implemented by allowing editors to give names to specific turns.
For example, the turn https://www.waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lon=-115.50083&lat=32.79973&zoom=7&segments=505661547,505661549 could be named "SR 111N to Brawley", and the turn https://www.waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lon=-115.50083&lat=32.79973&zoom=7&segments=63551041,63551051 named "SR 111S to Calexico".
I would note that in the competing application OpenStreetMap, such an ability has been at least nominally implemented since as far back as 2009. See https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Relation:destination_sign for a description.

Good idea. 70 is septante in Belgium

please use Belgian French for Belgium. In Belgium, the numbers "septante" and "nonante" are used (and not the crazy equivalent "soixante-dix" or "quatre-vingt-dix"). The name of the towns are pronounced as they are: "Wavre" is pronounced "Wavre" (and not "vavre" as the French reader does erroneously pronounce) same for "Woluwé" (and not "voluvé"), Alsemberg (and not "allesambaire") and so on and so on.
