Weather overlay
I would love to have a real time weather overlay on the WAZE maps. This would be a GREAT feature to add to aid in knowing more about driving conditions. Please vote and let's see what we can do to make it happen.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

There are 3 separate suggestions for adding Heavy Weather, rain or snow hazards. Why not combine them?

This would be incredibly helpful, especially for us in the North who deal with unexpected snow squalls. Perhaps check with Intellicast or TWC to see if you can buddy up with their Dopplers. I so look forward to this.

Great idea, for now only few apps in marketplace provide such feature. Would like proper implementation of weather data on route or radar overlay. As well would be great for motorcyclists to be prepare for weather conditions.

No just for the Nordics! I live in CT and we face similar problems at sunrise and sunset on certain highways, especially going uphill over long distances. Thanks for the idea!

Even a non-looping layer would be nice.

You may not be able to re-route, but if you're headed into blinding downpours or white-out snow conditions, it may be a life saver (literally) to know in advance that traffic may be severely affected.

A lot of motorcycle riders use this app. If you had real time weather overlay that would be GREAT

Agreed, I would love to see a weather radar overlay so that I know what to expect on long trips!

There are areas with high wind warnings... wish WIND was a weather choice.
Would also like to see SNOW as an option. -

On the bottom bar showing the ETA of your travel. Give the option to display the weather of the destination on one side and your current weather on the other side. This could be very useful on longer trips, just an added convenience. This can be done buy displaying the temperature as well as a tiny image of a sun, cloud covered sun, cloud, light rain, thunderstorm, snow, etc. Would make for a very great feature to know what to expect where you're going on the go.

The Waze should have an option of wheater conditions.
When we choose one destiny before select "go" the waze will show the wheater conditions at that moment to this destiny. Also when the driver has bad wheater conditions as rain, fog or snow along the trip the Waze have to warn to driver to Drive carefully in one pop-up and sound from assistant of trip that already is there.
These 2 ideas about wheater conditions can help the drivers to plan their trips with pleasure and safe. Thanks

Maybe too complex, but when reporting a road that's snow-covered you could be required to estimate the depth of the snow, and with enough people doing this it could average the reports to determine the approximate depth, then there could be a setting where you can tell it to avoid roads with a certain amount of snow, e.g. 4+ inches.

There are several separate requests for a snow drift hazard. I wonder if an admin could merge them and the votes and comments?

Almost all data appears in the client is too small to me.
Thanks button is very hard to press.
When a warning appears, it is very hard to read what it is about (fog, roadwork, etc.). If sun is shining than worse.
Icons (about traffic jam, police, accidents, etc.) could be bigger as well, they are hard to differentiate.
So I could imagine one (or more) checkbox or slider to set magnification (of different objects)
For example a checkbox for display everything 1.5 times bigger. Or a slider from 1x to 2x to set whatever magnification the user wants. -

Greetings,
Yesterday our area got a heavy blast of winter which included alot of snow and ice that ended up on our roads. While navigating to my destination I was brought up a hill which ultimately had some bad ice on it and I ended up sliding into the snowbank and ultimately having to work my way out of the dangerous situation and back on safe road and then find a flatter and well traveled route. IT would be wonderful if there was an option to avoid hills of a certain angle so that traveling in those conditions could be safer.

Well not only the Northern parts of the states in the U.S. Southern states have been seeing more winter weather than usual. I think in the hazards section we should have alerts for heavy snow, as there is a hazard for fog. Icy or snowy road surfaces are a must too, would definitely benefit anyone else traveling on the same road or highway. This would make it better for some to plan their travel more effectively. Please vote to have these icons added for safety reasons.
