It exists in all countries this information freely available. These reports are called metar and this information can be used in waze.
for microsoft flight simulator fsx10 there are applications made by the same people who use this information in real time and incorporated into regional maps.

Weather warnings are often announced by county/parish and when you are traveling - you are not aware what county/parish you are in. I would suggest you add that to the map---- so you would know exactly how it affects you.

During Hurricane Matthew - watches & warnings would come over the radio (some tornado warnings as well with hurricane Herimene) and we would never know if we were in the effected area.

Add more wether conditions alerts like low sun, side winds

This is a much needed feature.

We have similar location in Hrhov - Slovakia.
Several times per year it is so strong side wind that police have to stop truck´s because they are blown away from road.
But few of them are already crashed.
In that situation I miss icon for WEATHER HAZARD : STRONG SIDE WIND, to warn truck drivers.

Please add cut ins that provide tornado, or thunderstorm warnings by area.

Please add rain into weather reporting.

Report for rain is needed especially for heavy tropical rain storm. I remember the older version of waze has it. Due to the in-availability of d rain report, some people have used hail or fog to report heavy rain. That's incorrect and can cause panic if people aren't used to such weather when driving.

How about incorporating weather radar onto the maps. It would be nice to see when you would be driving into or out of rain or snow. This would be better than jumping to a weather app and searching for radar

In the northern part (like in Sweden), the sun is far from zenith during morning and after noon and part of the year the whole day and it has a big impact on traffic. It would be useful to have a weather hazard for this.

Renaming the "Fog" button to "Reduced Visibility" would cover both.

instead of going through a menu while the sun is blinding you. Just a single tap button for sun glare. That way it will give other drivers enough warning ahead of time.
