Weather overlay
I would love to have a real time weather overlay on the WAZE maps. This would be a GREAT feature to add to aid in knowing more about driving conditions. Please vote and let's see what we can do to make it happen.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

People get points for posting alerts, which is why there are so many useless ones posted. I feel the same way about "vehicle on shoulder ahead." What good is that? What am I going to do about it? Frankly, I'd be fine with Waze eliminating the "vehicle on shoulder ahead" alert altogether.
I would like you to add an "essential alerts only" mode, which only warns of police, fog/rain/smoke that is *so* bad that visibility is reduced, red light cameras, and hazards *in* the roadway.

It is too subjective. When there is snow then everyone complains that it is not clear even if it is not true.

Use your eyes.

I agree. This should have been added long ago. I suggest a "blowing dust/smoke" warning to cover both.

Encountered these conditions while driving the Central Valley region of California. I also routinely deal with windy/gusty conditions on transbay bridges. Definitely would be helpful when traversing mountainous regions, flat deserts, and other areas subject to high winds. Especially helpful to those driving high-profile vehicles (truckers, campers, RV's, etc.).

Recently on a trip with really bad weather. My wife was on the Weather Channel app looking at the radar map so we would know when we would encounter the next big cell. Impossible to go back-and-forth when you're driving alone. Would be a great feature in Waze to have current radar map overlay.

A Weather option for Ice Covered and Flooded Roadway. Snow and rain alerts are nice but often not an impairment to reaching a destination.

There is another post with more votes in it. Lets get all of these into one forum post.

I have Sun glare on my drive home depending on when I leave work. I'm never sure if the backup is from sun glare or an accident and need to go a different way and there is no way to annotate what is actually going on besides just traffic building up.

Suggested improvement: allow setting to avoid climbs / hills that some vehicles can not get through.

Integrate real time weather looping radar layer.

Having a translucent layer of weather (e.g. rain, snow, etc...) added to the map would allow for the driver to see weather events upcoming or the end of them. Most of the time when a user posts a rain or snow event it is already occurring on those getting the notification so it adds little or nothing to the drive assistance.

I-15 several other major roads often have high winds and/or blizzards that can affect traffic/safe driving and closures.

Can high winds be added to the hazards button for weather Option? California has very high winds in some areas.

High Wind on bridges in the SF Bay area. Definitely need an option to report.

In my country, after the winter snow, appears big holes in the road. So, everytime when i use "Waze" on the same place i must put the "Hazard - -> groapa (in romanian language)". And the next day, the same thing again. It must be an option to mentain that "hazard" until is fixed (one week, one month, etc), and a user to correct the problems.

A weather radar map would be great as an option to turn on and off.
