Weather overlay
I would love to have a real time weather overlay on the WAZE maps. This would be a GREAT feature to add to aid in knowing more about driving conditions. Please vote and let's see what we can do to make it happen.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Heavy rain. We have torrential downpours that are sudden and move quickly and the warning would help cut down accidents I believe

would be nice to be able to choose to add a weather radar over the map

I agree. We have deluge level heavy rains on short notice. This causes slowdowns and stoppages on the major roads. Also rapid flooding occurs on the smaller side roads. Very helpful to be able to tag it.

I would like for you to include weather alerts from the National Weather Service as an automatic alert when we are driving toward an area with a weather warning and when an alert is issued for the area we are in. For example, if I am a few miles away from a tornado warning I would like to know about it before I get to that area so I could find a safe place until the warning is passed. We shouldn't need to depend on user-reported weather alerts; we also need the warnings from the National Weather Service.
In addition, a map overlay showing weather warnings would be very helpful. I would also like to be able to see a weather radar overlay on the map. I have read that Apple currently does not allow weather radar in CarPlay; however, perhaps you could convince them to allow at least a static radar overlay so we can be aware if we are traveling toward areas of bad weather.

I would like to suggest a warning of danger that is not in the application. Gusts of wind or strong wind, as you see fit! On these days in Portugal when you have been feeling very strong gusts of wind, even on the highway, this option does not exist in the weather hazard warning. Here's the suggestion! Thanks

Add a feature for reporting heavy rain/thunderstorm ahead as there is no function to report this reason now if there is a jam ahead due to these circumstances and people can only report fog or jail which is not suitable for describing the situation.

As frequent travelers, we are occasionally subjected to a multitude of weather conditions. Rain, flooding, hail, tornado's, snow, icing, fog, wind and dust storms. It just seems to be a nice addition to have a weather overlay available (option to turn on/off).

This would be huge for longer trips when you might not otherwise be aware that you're heading into weather!

Under weather to report add "sun glare".

this is feature creep. you want Waze to be excellent at what it was meant for: to get you the best route between home and work on your regular commute.
If you start turning this in to an all-in-one app, then sure it can do everything, but it won't do anything well. how many people do you know who are sawing logs and opening wine on a regular basis with a swiss army knife? i didn't think so. sommeliers are using dedicated corkscrews. woodsmen are using chain saws. use the right tool for the task.
your smartphone is the swiss army knife. the apps are the blades. choose the best blades, but don't expect the saw blade to effectively open a wine bottle.

Hi! Love the app, I use it almost every day.
One thing that would be great is tying in weather conditions and alerts. For example, it would be great to have details about a winter storm warning in an area you’re driving in, and be able to see timing, amounts of snow, etc. From environment Canada or the National Weather Service.
Just a thought, keep up the great work!

There are well-known flooding points, with strong water currents, which are life-threatening for drivers in the event of sudden storms.
These points can be mapped by the editors, even based on official local information.
However, Waze has no way of knowing if it is raining heavily there.
Therefore, I suggest a feature called "Heavy Rain Mode", to be activated by the user.
From then on, Waze will prefer itineraries that avoid possible registered flooding points.

Indeed, i had this issue today. Low sun, visibility was zero almost. I wanted to select it in waze app and there was no option for this, hmm. So i asked this question to :)

The option to select sun by Danger/Weather in the app. When the sun is low and visibility is poor on the road. As you can now with fog, hail, ice etc...

So if their are strong winds you are able to report it

Consider weather-related delays when suggesting long routes. I was going from Sarasota FL to Columbus OH and was given a supposedly 25-min faster route via I-10/I-95/I-26/I-77/US-33 instead of I-75/I-71. A winter storm that dumped several inches of snow on the suggested route added at least 4 hours to a normally 16-hr trip.
