It's beyond the time when there should be an option for satellite map view. There are times when you need to find your way to a spot in the countryside and you can see it on a satellite map but have no idea on the plane white maps Waze has.

Since Google Maps and Waze are the same adding the Satellite feature would be helpful. Google maps as these layer and it makes it easy to use and helps to show where you are.

What an absolutely ridiculously BS answer by the admin as to why Waze doesn't add satellite view. It's obvious they don't have the technical know-how to do it properly, so they make excuses by actually trying to make us believe it's not useful. It is useful. Ways sucks the big one because of this one lacking feature.

This is sad to hear, satellite maps give drivers landmarks to look out for that line mapping can’t give!!

Google buying waze will mean waze goes to **** and a new competitor swamps them both. **** idiots who play these stupid games at the customers expense.

We'll clearly what you guys think is wrong people clearly what a satellite view option I use Google maps in nothing but satellite mode it makes it easier to find your destination when on the go so you know what the place looks like and how do get in and out.. I would use waze so much more if it had this option maybe rethink your decision it's not about what you think or feel it's about what the people think or feel

As a delivery driver, one thing that Google and other apps do better is showing the house models below the pins on the map. I would really like to see this feature in Waze, that or being able to go to top down or even top down Satellite to see what house corresponds to the pin. It would just make things slightly easier.

Google maps has satellite view, no competition Waze.

Satellite layer will be better for the fact that it will actually help us. If you want to make it smoother for Us wazers then the satellite layer will not only show us the area of where we travel but also the place we are pulling up to we will be able to know what it is when we arrive for instance if I’m driving to a church but I don’t know it’s a church the satellite will show me that it is what it is an I think that will help us know exactly where we are going. And how to get there safely.

Hi, I know you say you won't be adding the layer, but I find it so hard to drive without satellite view because I can't see, for example, if I should take this turn right here or the one in one metre - satellite view allows me to see if one of those turns is a driveway or something. I get lost more often without satellite view and usually end up back using google maps :(

I just searched this because we are traveling and my husband mentioned how nice it would be to have satellite view on waze. Disappointed to read its not something admin is considering. Knowing this I think we will switch back to Google Maps. So much easier to pinpoint where you are and where you want to go!

Not having a satellite view is why after 5 minutes of using Waze in Android Auto I put Google maps back. A bland simple map laayout just isn't good enough anymore, Add sattelite view, I will switch to Waze

I want to see real satelite photo as waze background map, please.

I Doordash and use Google maps for this specific reason. It is easier to find my location if I can see it physically see it on the map as opposed to just a pin marker.
