Add closure report to Android Auto
There does not appear to be a way to report a temporary closure of a road due to an accident, etc. from within the Waze Android Auto interface. Please consider adding this feature.
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

Definitely need to have this added to Android Auto

WHEN IS THIS GOING TO BE FIXED? Came across a closed road Monday night late and Waze kept insisting on trying to send me back to the closed road. And if I'd known it was closed in advance I would probably have gone a totally different route.
PLEASE FIX.

It's completely unacceptable that I still can not report a roadblock in Android Auto. I can't tell you how often this happens to me and I'm very close of uninstalling Waze, because this issue is getting on my nerves so much. Please tell me why, so I can understand this stupidness.

This is an important feature and there is no logical reason why Waze in Android Auto had it removed. Driving in France in August means many roads are temporarily blocked and there is no way of reporting them in order to reroute drivers. Far more useful than having a map issue button when driving. Since you can only report a closed road within the vicinity I cannot even report it later directly on my phone. This seems like a huge regression for an app that prides itself in real-time info from users. Please fix! Not having this feature as it functions on the phone will make using Waze (as opposed to Google maps) less and less relevant as more and more users get built in displays

Not been able to flag a closed road (tree fell across road in a storm) cost me a $95 hotel stay. You need to add road closure in Android Auto.

Yes this needs to be added!
I had pull over, to disconnect my phone from the car, flag the road as closed using the app directly, then reconnect my phone to carry on driving.
For me, being able to report a road closure comes above being able to report a map issue if you are looking for another button to demote.

Thought I was going crazy. Motorway sliproad was blocked last night & could not work out how to flag the road as temporarily closed to force it to recalculate my route home. Now I see why! This is nuts...the only reason I started using waze was because I thought it could do this recalculation. And yes it can do it, but not when connected to android auto. What are we supposed to do pull over unplug the phone, flag it as closed, plug it back in again - seriously?!

Waze and Android Auto devs must be playing Ping Pong at the work, instead of doing their job. If safety is really a concern, so why do they keep closure report on device only? Anne Marie said it all! Geez, this is so ridiculously obvious. Wake up guys! For God's sake...

Totally agree, this is an important feature for all Wazers

NEED NEED NEED this STILL!! If I hit a road closure, I have to unplug my phone and use the app on my phone to be able to redirect. Definitely NOT safe to be doing while trying to drive in a place I'm not familiar with!

You can't mark road closures with Waze on AA. This is a big oversight.

Excellent idea!!! would be great to be able to help other Wazers indicating the closures from Android Auto!
