I would like to suggest a warning of danger that is not in the application. Gusts of wind or strong wind, as you see fit! On these days in Portugal when you have been feeling very strong gusts of wind, even on the highway, this option does not exist in the weather hazard warning. Here's the suggestion! Thanks

It would be a huge help to indicate to the community, through new danger icons in the App:
- Strong wind,
- Heavy rain,
- Floor flooded (road, street). Not a flood.
For aquaplaning prevention.

In certain areas in the country there are extremely slow moving vehicles including horses, buggies and tractors on winding and hilly two lane roads which are used by local families and often driven and navigated by children. There currently is no way to alert other drivers about these hazards.

We came across a very,very strong crosswind while driving south on Interstate 15 to Los Angeles, but we couldn’t warn other drives since there is no option to select “Crosswind” or “Strong Wind Gusts” on the Hazard selection.

Add WIND as one of the weather cautions you can post. Dust storms are very real in AZ and desert areas!

Same here in California! We need a high winds hazard notification.

Hello, i'm suggesting to put new alerts for the users. The alerts i'm proposing are about temporary roadblocks because temporary flooding, trees blocking some ways. This events are generated after some
adverse weather conditions tornado, rain, strong winds, something like this. For example, i'm driving in some way and i find some tree blocking the road, i can put a alert for the others users to avoid this way.

High winds can affect the I-15 in California, pretty bad. I’m sure California isn’t the only place that has these issues either. Where there is rain, sometimes hazardous winds occur as well. It’s a hazard for trucks, and small vehicles and a warning would be something to help secure ones safety, not only here, yet in others cities that use WAZE as well. If you take all the wind suggestions and add them with this one. It might help in your decision to add it. Thank you for considering this great addition for everyone’s safety.

Agree with this - in Scotland, the police are able to close bridges to buses and high-sided vehicles as a result of high winds

The type of truck I drive at times we cannot be on the road if winds are over 40 MPH. So it would be nice to cover where ever you are driving at. I do Emergency Response and cover 48 states.

Also need alert for "sky is falling"

As a truck driver I think this would be a good idea, highlighting areas of increased crosswind risk, or at least providing advanced warning to take special care, I appreciate wind comes and goes, but still think it could be a worthwhile warning..

Focus more on safety / accident prevention / weather dangers, ie. deer crossings/road sightings (especially at night) - not just an icon but a sound so drivers don't have to take their eyes of the road, weather alerts, ie. tornadoes, interface with drivers to notify amber vehicle recognition.

In Florida and other states that have violent thunderstorms come up with violent lightning, there should be a weather hazard icon for this. The wind and rain sometimes make it impossible to drive. The mid and southern states WAZE followers sure could use this.

absolutely agreed. i commute to palm springs area every week, this feature would be immensely helpful!
