NO FACEBOOK FRIENDS, ITS NOT FAIR THAT YOU OWN BOTH AND CREATED A MONOPOLY!

Why can't I add friends directly from my contacts? The help center tells me I can add friends from my contacts. It tells me to give Waze permission to access my contacts from the privacy settings on my phone and then I should be able to add friend. However, the only option I am presented is to connect with Facebook. Not happening! Please fix this!

I am not a fan of most social media, my wife and I need to be able to add friends via our phones contact list which currently does not appear to be an option. We have tried the help screen method to add contacts but in the end it will only allow us to add friends using Facebook, not what we want, in fact the 2 friends I had from my phone contacts seem to have disappeared.

Why am I no longer able to add / see friends without creating a Facebook account? I don't understand.

I don't use social networks and neither does my husband. My previous Waze friends are all gone now since the new version requires use of FB to keep/add friends. VERY disappointed!!! Going to search for another traffic app. Waze should modify this issue to keep us Wazers that have been members since the beginning! Ridiculous!!!

I am going to stop using Waze if I cannot connect to my contacts in my phone. I've been a member since the very early days. This is useless being only tied to social media avenues. USELESS!

I lost all my friends also and don’t want to use Facebook. Anyone know of other good app to use instead of waze?

I had about 10 friends on my Waze app ever since I started. They have now disappeared and when I click my friends all I get is a message to add my facebook friends. Well some of the people I had...including my husband...don't have a facebook account. I've verified my phone number as one support area said and I still don't see my friends I have had forever.

I prefer the old version where contacts or friends list through would not be dependent on facebook.

Yes please. Not everyone has facebook!! So Waze when will you allow us to see non facebook friends?

I don't give access to my address book. Does this mean there's no way to send my trip info? Very disappointing.
