Possibility to add road closure on CarPlay
Possibility to mark road closed on apple carplay: ofen in Montreal, Canada we have lots of road closure, not reported on waze, causing wrong direction.
Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.

Still really need this. I was stuck in a parade route that wasn't on Waze and just kept getting rerouted into the parade.

Carplay needs to have the option to quickly say “Route not available due to Temporary closure”
Often times unscheduled construction that closes roads/on-ramps downtown and there is no easy/quick way to report it on carplay. -

Why does this need to be voted on? It’s an option if your phone isn’t connected to CarPlay but what good is that in a modern vehicle. It make Waze useless if there’s a closure. Fix this now!

Carplay is now a standard feature in most if not all new cars. It’s absolutely ridiculous that carplay would lack abilities that waze has on the phone by choice

Road closures are pretty frequent for construction around here and I only use Waze with CarPlay. It’s honestly crazy that it hasn’t been added yet and that there’s a whole vote regarding this.

Bumping this, it's a huge pain to not only not be able to report closures, but to encounter them more frequently because other people also can't report them from carplay.

PLEASE update the carplay app to report road closures.

It makes Waze useless as I have found when there is a detour to turn off Waze and use Maps.

+1 - Please update CarPlay to allow for reporting of road closures.

As a Waze editor and frequent reporter of street closures, can we get the full reporting options as we would without using Car Play/AA? It's almost impossible to get users to clarify a general map error when there is a street closure.
It's been requested repeatedly in the past, let's make it happen. Car Play/AA is pretty common now.

Definitely useful my area has several major interchanges being reconstructed and the ramps available change every 2 or 3 weeks right now.

Carplay is very mainstream now and this feature should be added.

It would appear that it is Android Auto and Apple Carplay who for some reason will not allow the 'Road Blocked' feature to be used. If this is the case, then as a workaround, give us the option to either make a detour from that point of the planned route or give us the option to choose a particular road that we want to avoid (the blocked road). We don’t have to report it as being blocked. It’s just telling Waze, Android Auto or Apple CarPlay that we don’t want to use that particular road. I can't understand why, after almost 5 years since the original post by xavier, no one at Waze has been able to come up with a solution to this.

I support this ask! Even if it doesn't update the map immediately it would help for the directions to note that another driver (and add how many drivers if more than one) noted an issue with this route so we can make a choice to reroute or to continue if we don't trust what others are entering. Then when your team can confirm you can update the map.

No update? Really? I've been led to multiple closed roads now, I'm assuming because people can't report them. Given the massive amount of construction in my city, I'm going to have to switch to another Nav App until this is resolved.

We've been asking for this feature since 2018.
Is it a technical limitation? Something else?
I'm sick of trying to make excuses in URs when someone reports a Missing Road when what they really want to do is report a closure. The vast majority of your userbase are not coming here to make suggestions, they're deleting Waze and going to your competition.
Do you want your volunteer editors to be doing useful work on the map, or would you prefer we continue tilting at windmills and asking for clarification from people who will ultimately never respond to us?
