when can we expect Waze be compatible on the Android Automotive OS (so not Android Auto, but Android Automotive as the new OS for the Polestar 2 car).

We plan to work on Android Automotive in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

The reason that I would consider getting rid of my Polestar 2 is that it does not have Waze and no Android auto option. Android automotive's Appstore is a total ****!

Using Waze daily for years now. Need it my new Volvo with Android Automotive. Would be perfect to see it in the cockpit dashboard.

This is extremely important as the introduction of Android Automotive renders the Android Auto obsolete - integration to car infotainment is not needed.
Furthermore iPhone users cannot (at present) use Apple Carplay on Android Automotive cars (e.g. Polestar 2) -

Dedicated waze app for Android automotive equiped cars. For the moment you have you use your phone next top the on board android system since it doesn't support screen mirroring. The only app I need is waze.

I am a long time Waze user and will be upgrading to the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric which currently doesn’t support Apple CarPlay. I’m happy with Waze as it always have a large user community in Malaysia which makes it very accurate when it comes to travel times and traffic incidents. In an electric vehicle, it is critical that we know all of these as we have to plan our trips to ensure that there is enough charge to reach the destination and back. Not having a Waze app in Android Automotive OS is really a big miss for Waze.

I can’t see how this can even been optional, what use is Waze if it’s not something we use in our cars. People with cars running AAOS are not going to mount their phones in a dock just to use Waze when their car has Android built in. Get it together Google and support Waze on AAOS.

I’ve been a happy Waze user for over decade, but recently stopped using it b/c it is not available on AAOS in the Polestar 2. Please consider porting Waze to AAOS!
