Please add "most fuel efficient" route option
I would like a similar fuel efficient route option as seen in Google Maps.

This would be a great feature, even more so if it considers your vehicle type in the calculation e.g. hybrid, petrol, electric

FYI Google owns Waze, but I wonder if after the purchase there was an agreement to keep Waze quite distinct from Google Maps.

Given how many users Waze serves, this should definitely be the next feature to get implemented. This would be an option to tick within Options > Navigation. In order to promote the idea, when unticked, Waze should propose both the fastest and the most fuel-efficient routes, for the user to choose from.
@TheMet4lGod: I am reasonably sure it would be quite simple actually. Intuitively, a mix of shortest route / shortest total acceleration time / lowest average speed, with adequate coefficients and maybe some other criterions I cannot think of at the moment, should do the trick?
As for that "turn right" episode of Mythbusters (thanks for raising that point, I did not knew at all), the 2 top answers on that Reddit thread do explain it quite well: https://www.reddit.com/r/askscience/comments/rmwih/can_you_help_explain_this_mythbusters_result/ -

How would you determine this? There's a lot of assumptions to make here. You would have the pick the route with the most segments that are going at highway speeds (around 55 MPH), but not so fast that you lose fuel economy.
I know the Mythbusters some years ago showed that only making right turns at intersections was more fuel efficient than waiting to make a left turn.
You can also increase fuel economy if you follow the slip stream of the vehicle in front.

Navigation with the ability to save fuel as in Google maps. Calculation of the required (approximately) amount of fuel per route. To do this, in the settings you need to specify the consumption on the highway, the consumption in the city and the average fuel consumption.

From the current situation and environmental point of view, I would consider this a very useful feature.

Given current energy costs, this should not even be a discussion

Here (Singapor) toll rates change during the day. It would be fantastic if Waze had a means to define (somewhere centrally, via Map editors?) the toll gantries and rates over the day, and then use that information when calculating routes (ie. in addition to avoiding tolls altogether, allow for toll calculation along the route and compare that with fuel consumtion (fuel price and consumtion updated by user)
