An error occurred while saving the comment Naman Rawal commentedI agree this is important, and Waze devs will have to tap into the satellite weather data sets (public and private) to account for weather impacting drivers in real time. However, I know this is a challenge in terms of accuracy and reliability because I work with climate data myself. Waze could quite simply integrate with a brush fire monitoring app, or you can have another app send alerts.

An error occurred while saving the comment Naman Rawal commentedNot only do we need a green leaf icon, but we would like to know the details of what KIND of packaging the location is known to use with a “last updated” time stamp. This info should be crowd sourced so the owner cannot easily falsify the info. Also, this info can change periodically since the location may choose to move toward eco packaging. We need a smart way to handle these data points over time.

FYI Google owns Waze, but I wonder if after the purchase there was an agreement to keep Waze quite distinct from Google Maps.
