Option to Disable Candy/Sweet Sounds and Icons
Extremely distracting, and annoying.
Offer users the option to disable the candy sounds and icons.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Mute the sound for points earned.

I'd like it if there were the option to turn off this points chime... It's really annoying when I'm listening to an audiobook and I get a chime every 5 seconds because the program is giving me points for some reason. Audible pauses the book and after the chime resumes the book with a 2 second rewind so it's really disruptive. I know if I turn off alerts it gets turned off but I don't want to miss direction alerts, I just don't care for the points chime. Thanks.

Would be great if we could turn this useless feature off. Very annoying to have my music/podcast interrupted by a **** alert.

The achievement announcement candies and noises are too silly - allow users to turn that distraction off. I had been using Waze with Android Auto, but this silliness has driven me to uninstall Waze.

I agree! It freaked me out at first while driving and i kept looking st my phone while driving to see what was going on. So unsafe! There should be a way to opt out of playing some candy gane while using a driving app. They should not be included as something you cant opt out of. I love this app, but this is going to drive me crazy. I only want alerts to go off to tell me where to turn, objects in road, closures or other safety items and police. Other than that, i don't want to play a game while i drive!!! Please give us an option to opt out of these distracting alerts.

You should use candy to get real T-shirt’s and hat and stuff

It is very distracting having noises coming from your sat nav telling you you've won candy when you're driving.
It would be safer if the app can tell me this when I have parked at my destination.
Is there a way to turn this off?
Really not safe. -

This has definitely not been fixed.

I don't think this is fixed in waze as of may 11th 2016. I still get recalculating/level up arcade noises when I have alerts only on.

I can't listen to Pandora and use Wase at the same time.... How can I disable ALL Waze sounds?

I do not want to hear a unique noise telling me I have won 3 eggs in the new Waze Easter game while I am driving. I take a unique sound to mean I need to be aware of something related to my trip. Really annoying and dangerous.

more system spamming iptions would detract from wazing

Let users "drop" candy prizes, collectible by 1 or more Wazers. Users could put in unique locations, like geo-caching. Limited free droppable prized per day/week. Or you could even allow purchase of additional prizes of selectable value.

mute all sounds icon can be found on the menu bar itself with 3 options. its not intuitive, i only discovered it after months of using waze.

This is not fixed. Alerts ignore mute settings.

Same here, fruit eating still sounds loud and clear and the only way to avoid that is to unhook Bluetooth (so no phone calls) or not use Waze (not what waze wishes, I think). For reference, I use an iPhone 4 and haven't been able to find the option to turn off fruit eating sounds.

krankyd says it's fixed in 2.2 and onward, but I cannot seem to find any controls. Waze automatically mutes playing music and plays fruit or redirecting sounds much louder than music even though I have nav guidance turned off. Distracting for music and disruptive for podcasts. Would prefer non critical sounds to sound like background with desired sound at the forefront.

Totally agreed; this seems more like a bug and less like a feature request.
