Custom voice recording to be of higher quality
The quality of the audio when recording a persons voice is horrible. It sounds like I'm speaking through a mic using wired earphones from the early 2010's. Please do whatever you can to make the audio sound like the microphone made by the manufacturer of the mobile brand. There have been so many complaints about this, outside of this forum and I can't believe it still has not been fixed yet.

Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

this request is legit and highly important.. the quality of self recorded voice Instructions is an absolute No-Go.. one can bearly understand anything through CAR-HiFi... if it does not match in your roadmap since 1,5 years, then consider completely taking out this feature entirely.. poorly implemented features are a mess..and a shame

Hang on - Your own app gives me a safety warning saying "Your recordings are used to guide you on the road. Make sure they're clear and accurate". Surely if you consider it vital to safety, to the point of making it a warning even, it should be on your roadmap?

The function is very old. Back then, when cloud storage was still in its infancy, a lot of data was compressed very small to save storage space. Waze uploads data with an estimated 16kbits. To have a good HD Audio quality you would need at least 128kbits. Someone would just have to change it with 2 clicks. I think waze has enough cloud storage thanks to google.

The audio quality for Waze custom voices is extremely compressed and not even worth using because it sounds so bad. Please make it so that the default quality is better or allow us to add MP3 files instead
