User Story: Multiple Vehicle Profiles per Waze Account

User Story

As a Waze user who drives more than one vehicle

I want to create and manage multiple vehicle profiles under the same Waze account

So that navigation, alerts, and settings automatically match the vehicle I’m currently driving.

Problem / Motivation

Many drivers regularly use more than one vehicle (e.g., car and motorcycle, personal and work vehicle, taxi). Currently, Waze supports only a single set of vehicle-related settings per account, which requires users to manually change settings or accept inaccurate routing and alerts.

Proposed Feature

Waze should allow users to create multiple vehicle profiles within one account, each with its own settings.

Each vehicle profile may include:

• Vehicle name (e.g., Personal Car, Motorcycle, Work Taxi)
• Vehicle type (car, motorcycle, taxi, etc.)
• Fuel type (gasoline, diesel, electric, hybrid)
• Vehicle icon
• Toll / OHV / pass settings (e.g., toll passes, off-highway vehicle permissions)
• Other vehicle-specific routing preferences

Optional Smart Selection (Nice-to-Have)

Automatic vehicle selection based on:
- Bluetooth connection (e.g., car infotainment system, motorcycle headset)
- Previously used vehicle at the same location/time
- Manual quick switch from the navigation screen

Examples / Use Cases

• One car and one motorcycle

• Three different personal cars with different fuel types and toll passes
  

Acceptance Criteria

• Users can add, edit, and delete multiple vehicle profiles
• Users can manually select the active vehicle before or during navigation
• Vehicle-specific settings are applied instantly when a profile is selected
• (Optional) Vehicle profile can auto-switch based on Bluetooth connection
• Default behavior remains unchanged for users with only one vehicle
