Other additions for highway information could be icons for “passing lane locations”, food stops, 24/7 fuel locations

It would be extremely usual if icons could be added to maps for rest stops on highways and maybe a separate icon for rest stops with toilets. Additionally, fuel stations, on or near highways should be recorded. It would make long distance travel easier to plan.

Hello. As I travel around the USA on the interstate highway system , there are “Rest Areas” that can be exited to. Many a time, usually because of large trucks & traffic, I do not see the “Rest Area Ahead” signs and consequentially miss the “Rest Area” exit. It would be nice convenience if WAZE could announce “Rest Area 2 Miles Ahead”. Thank You.

My car navigation system always shows the next rest area/toilets along an highway while driving. Might that be an option to display?

For those that are getting older, having access to rest stops can become critical. Also to those that have infants or children it can also be critical.

Add listing for rest areas along the interstate. Provide mile marker locations where available. As you ride WAZE will alert a driver to an upcoming rest area much like it would advise of a car on the side of the road.

Would love if - after select your destination, In the section where gas icon is -ADD rest area icon, which would then populate upcoming rest areas and miles away along route. ..
in addition. Have a specific Rest area icon that shows up as your driving the route ((just like the train tracks notice comes up or a hazard notice comes up ))
Business justification. .. most people driving and using GPS. Are not intimately familiar with the stops or areas - this helps for safety instead of getting stranded somewhere. Thank you for your time.

It could fit easily. If you can have an icon for railroad crossings, traffic, cars stalled, ect. Theres no reason why you can't have a simple icon for a rest area. This is supposed to be an app that helps travelers. Well some travelers have to plans trips around rest areas because of health issues.

Display a list of rest area / service stations along the route. Something similar to what is available in Google maps.

It would be great if the app could have a permanent alert to the next parking available during our trip to take a break or just park in urgency if needed.
Exemple : next parking spot in 5.6km on your route

Information on rest stops already provided in publicly available sources like the POI Factory. Give us a way to import POIs into Waze.
