Ability to select the types of hazards to enable/disable
Sometimes, certain hazards are not very helpful and are more of a distraction than anything. For example, vehicles stopped on the shoulder, weather, and missing sign are not very important and I dismiss them every time I see it. At times I feel like disabling hazards altogether.

Great news! The ability to disable individual alert notifications is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

I see that this is from 2013. Does anyone know why this feature hasn't been added? Seems like a no brainer.

I would like the ability to disable red light camera alerts. I find them completely and utterly useless. I never try to speed through lights. If I do get a ticket from a red light camera, I probably deserved it.
Seriously, those popups obscure upcoming intersections on the map, and the audio alerts are also VERY annoying. It almost makes me want to stop using the app except that I really do need the reroutes around traffic. If Ford's traffic capability on built-in satnav actually worked I wouldn't need to use Waze in the first place!

Yes, please! I know where all the red light cameras are during my standard commute. In addition, I'm not the sort to run lights. Please let us turn it off.

I am not interested in cars on shoulders; it's a needless distraction.

This has never been a valid issue unless the person reporting the issue accidentally tapped "other side" button to report it on your direction instead of theirs.

If you agree with this idea, consider up voting this similar suggestion with many more votes already. Search for:
Please provide an option to turn off the "car stopped on shoulder" warning.
Select the top entry with that same title and up vote it. (Links are not allowed in Uservoice, so I cannot post the link directly.)

I have a million red light cameras in my area and I know where all of them are. I really wish I could turn off the red light camera notification because it get annoying really quick. This is a perfect suggestion.

Have the option to turn off some of the alerts like a vehicle on the side of the road.

I have the exact same request. I get constant annoying alerts on my morning commute about stoplight cameras. We have them everywhere here and I don't run red lights either so this detracts value from the App. I've been patient assuming they will eventually fix this, but it looks like maybe not given these posts from over two years ago. :(

Please provide the ability to disable individual reports! I absolutely HATE the "vehicle stopped on shoulder" and "pothole" alerts. They are really distracting. Honestly, who cares that there is a car parked on the side of the road? Plus, potholes are simply a way of life in Norther California -- we have some of the worst roads in the country and potholes are everywhere.

Don't warn people of red light cameras, if you are dumb enough to drive through a red light you shouldn't be behind the wheel, giving them a warning of which ones will get them fines is just going to encourage morons to jump lights, very dangerous

Currently there is no way to disable Red Light Cameras, this should be fixed, In some areas they are constant alerts interrupting music and such. Allow them to be disabled or at the very least link them to Speed Cameras.

This way you can see hazards or goodies pop up but let ones of your choosing not interrupt your music and such.

Seriously. There needs to be some way to stop this insane vehicle stopped on shoulder alert. Maybe if Waze stopped giving points to people marking vehicles on the shoulder, it would cease to be a issue. Until then, I just have to shut Waze down because I get so tired of getting that same notification over and over and over for stuff that doesn't impact me whatsoever. Enough, Waze. Listen!
