Using location other than current location as starting point
I would like to be able to enter a location other than my current one to check routes for others.
Great news! Setting a different start point is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

If I wanted to drive from a different starting point to my current location, have the option to see what the traffic times would be. It works now, but just without a different starting point.
Ex. I want to go to a store usually 45 min away but I know traffic is bad on the way home. I want to be able to plan my initial trip based on how much time/traffic I would encounter going home.

Bring back the old planned drive... So you could plan a drive after entering the destination instead of looking for it in the menu

Plan a drive was awesome when you could set a start point separate from where you actually are so you can use your car in conjunction with other transit options.

Please. Please. Please. Create a way to easily and quickly change the start point for a drive.

So in the trip planner, add the ability to change my starting location. Example: I'm at home and preparing for a trip to an event after work. I want to be able to enter in the locate of my work and then the location to the event. I should be able to see how long it will take from work to the event, how many miles, routes to take and have the same option that currently exists to determine a start time if you want to arrive at the other location by a certain time. Currently Waze only offers the ability for you to use your current location and doesn't allow you to change the location to a different starting point. Adding this feature would be beneficial for users that like to set up and plan their trips ahead of time. This is something that Google maps offers and to have Waze be superior to Google maps, this is one of the upgrades needed. The other addition that is needed is the satellite layer. The tech group has given their reason why they hasn't added this feature but they are dead wrong. This upgrade would enhance Waze. The satellite layer helps out a lot more the techs really know. Landmarks from the satellite imaging helps you to locate and identify the areas your driving in. If Waze really wants more users to join this app, get this added asap! I'm just trying to help Waze be a heck of a lot better. Thanks for hearing me out and hope you take these ideas heart and apply them. Thank you.

1 ) At present changing start point is very complicated. You should have clear space on top like mapquest. We can get auto option to take start point as current location or can change manually.
2) stop points are not showing total time A to B to C location. A to B is showing time. Not B to C time. And need to show total time like A to B to C. Total time and miles for each trip and total trip. -

I want to plan route between different points.
Waze always wants to plan from current location for an app with so much potential this renders it virtually useless
What a basic error in a navigation system -

Plan routes from other locations, other then your current location to. So say, I’m at point A but I want to know how to get from point B to C and not just by “add stop”

Sooo frustrating. Internet searches indicate someone needs to address this. I'm surprised this has been overlooked for so long and continues to be.

Sometimes you want to know the route and timing for a drive from point B to point C, even though you are still at point A.
As an example, you and your partner want to go to a new restaurant for dinner, so you need the route from your home to this new place. But you are still at work, and want to plan the trip so you know when to leave home. So you put in your home address as the start point and the new restaurant address as the destination.
Although you can put this information into Waze, if you go to change anything about the drive, Waze automatically and instantly changes the start point to your current location.
To return to the example, say you want to change the arrival time at the restaurant because your reservation has changed. The minute you open up the planned drive, it changes the start point to your current, work location. This is annoying.
Waze claims that the app is supposed to do this. But what if Waze allowed you to choose whether to change the start location to your current location or keep the original one?
Waze already does something like this: if you have already started drive, and you search for a new address, Waze will ask you if you want to add it as a stop, start a new drive, or cancel.
Similarly, in our example, the app can give you the option of keeping the original start point, changing to your current location, or canceling the change.
This would make Waze a more useful (and friendlier!) app.

Please add the ability to plan trips from a different starting point than where I'm currently located. This would help with long-term plans.

Google Maps has this feature, I don't want to switch between Waze and Google Maps.
Love to see this in our Waze, to plan the different trip with different from and to locations -
