Voice command reports
Sending reports using short voice commands. For example: "waze danger car side of the road"
Great news! Reporting a vehicle on the side of the road using voice is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

Waze has many useful voice commands but two very important ones are missing. Replying to an alert such as 'vehicle on side of road' requires me to A) take my eyes off the road and look at the screen and B) tap the appropriate reply. Sometimes selecting the reply can be a challenge if you hit a bump. Allow voice commands for these replies.
Thank you.

I don’t understand why they wouldn’t let you do this too if the entire point of the new feature was to help you avoid touching your phone, because that’s still something you have to do if you can’t use your voice for this as well. I can’t even think of anything else that would need to be done while driving if you could use your voice for this as well. It shouldn’t even be that hard implement this.

I need a way to confirm or deny an alert by voice. Just like you can report things that are happening, but instead of reporting something new, confirm or deny something it's alerting me about. (Like if an accident or roadworks etc has already been cleared, but waze is telling you it's still there.)

I would like to offer you an efficiency suggestion:
By requesting a driver response to your message about a vehicle stuck on the side of the road, you are causing a driving hazard by requiring the driver to look away and take his hand off the steering wheel to press the appropriate tab. This is extremely dangerous when driving at high speed.
Instead, I suggest that you enable the feedback to be given to the voice option:
Still there - say 1
Not there - say 2

Lists might be ok on straight roads but non motorway roads in the uk are not straight enough to take your eyes off the road

To Avoid looking at screen to acknowledge or report warning. Tap screen anywhere and say ‘waze. Accident. Or waze traffic standstill or waze still there or waze no longer there. Looking at picking lists while driving is not a good idea I feel

Hi. Love Waze, but this idea is one of three that would take it from good to great for me...
Problem: It is a dangerous practice to interact with screens and mobile devices while driving a vehicle. In response to safety concerns, laws are increasingly being put in place prohibiting interacting with screens (touching devices) while driving. Some simple voice commands would enable meaningful interaction with Waze in this situation.
Possible Solutions:
1) Only while an alert is displayed, enable very simple voice commands to improve the quality of alert (hazard warnings), for example 'Still there' or 'Gone'.
2) If/when (1) was successfully implemented, move to enabling the identification of new hazards/alerts as a second phase, for example, 'New hazard' then 'pot hole'. This could include a 'Please confirm the identification of a new hazard Yes or No', to which the drive could just respond with 'Yes', 'confirm' or 'no'. -

I don't want to look away from the road when I get a hazard report. Need a way to use voice commands to confirm or reject.

The hazards should be voice input via phone. Wake WAZE with a command such as Waze hazard, then state the hazard. I don't report a lot of hazards since it's a distraction to look at my phone to select a screen of options.
Thank you. For the consideration.

Voice Reports has been broken for several months. Now using version 4.84.0.2, and still get the "cannot determine your location" error.

(hi waze), many times is needed to change route and there's no place to stop or report a problem on the road, and it's SAFER to say than to take the eyes of the road to see the screen...

Driving on the highway at legal high speed there should be a clear soundsignal warning when you have 2 break for a heavy traffic jam ahead.

Second this. I can't believe this isn't there, especially when it's possible to report using voice. This has been created since 2017 and apparently people don't take road safety that much serious if they don't consider confirming on screen while driving a big risk.

Waze needs to integrate Map Issue Reports with Google Assistant. "Ok Google, Report Map Issue." Then prompt the driver for details via voice-to-text.

The idea of automatic voice command once the waze GPS activated it would help driver maintain "FOCUS" on the road and reduce the distraction from inputing reports during driving this is very critical. I've been using the Waze app for a very long time and I consider myself a good driver a responsible driver, for the longest time while I was using this app, Ive found such issues with great concerned. Not every driver cold multitask and I'm not encourage ppl to mulitask while they're driving, currently on this app, I have to manually send reports while I was driving, constantly take eyes off the road, constantly take my hand off the steering wheel so I can report any issues on the road even if just for 2 seconds but accident it only takes a second. So by manually reporting, I believe this is very dangerous action and your app needs to be improved on, my suggestion and an idea to better serve the driver is to come up with the feature so we can use voice command for reporting, it has to be on at all time during driving so any time we see any issues on the road just use voice command without take your eyes off the road and hand off the steering wheel, I believe to add this feature not only enhanced the app it self but also more importantly drivers could be easily and safly operate the Waze app while driving "SAFTY" is the key!!!

Give Microphone option for Hazard reporting. It would be safer while driving. We can Hey Siri, Hey Google, Hey Alexa all day long. We give access for microphone why not make it useful and safe while driving?
Hazard: Black Ice- Snow induced ice on blacktop roads
Hazard: Flash Flood- can take out roads and make roads difficult for small vehicles to travel or downright impossible or dangerous for vehicle to pass so different levels of flash flooding available
Hazard: Heavy Rain- need for slowing down on highways, cause for accidents on curves or if heavy enough just cause of accidents.
Hazard: Slick Roads (caused by rain or snow)- common cause of from wheeled vehicle accidents not getting traction slowing down and caution needed.
Hazard: Blizzard- hazzard lights needed. Major slow down.
Hazard: Emergency Vehicles Only- due to weather conditions

as i said before, add a voice command to waze instead of using buttons during driving which is dangerous, now you need to report during driving, its already in waze as you press microphone for adress searching, go on male waze voice activated and driving much easier and safer!
waze ask: is the car reported still here? yes/no (voice reply)?
waze ask: is there still work in progress? yes/no (voice reply)Make waze the best and change to future voice commands now.
best wishes 2022

Creating a report with voice currently works. "OK Google, report car on shoulder" works nicely. However confirming an existing hazzard doesn't. There is a suggestion for confirming hazzards at https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-waze-suggestion-box/suggestions/19219078-use-voice-commands-to-confirm-deny-a-report-hazard
