"Both lanes" reporting option
Add a "both lanes" option when reporting traffic jams, hazards, and accidents affecting both directions of travel at the same time.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Let users designate hazard on RIGHT or LEFT or which lane it is in. Florida mandates you move over for emergency Vehicles and work or service vehicles, It would be nice to know which way to start moving.

Example, a cop sitting in between both lanes clocking both sides. Only one side gets the alert unless there is two reports. But that cludders the map unnecessarily.

When you say car stopped on shoulder, I would like to know what shoulder side left or right.

Reporting other direction hazards can help save lives when a car is stalled in lanes/shoulders, or road debris people will run over and cause damage for example a blown tire laying across lanes and things that fall off trucks.

An option to report a traffic jam on the other side and also being able to select a second option on the severity of the traffic jam

It would be very helpful to be able to specify which lane/s, shoulder, or direction/s are affected by any report.

The Police reports should always notify both directions of traffic. They may be sitting on one side of the road, but they can easily go after cars on the other side of the road. Therefore the "other side" option should not be who gets warned, but should be changed to where they are located so you can confirm or remove the report if they are gone when you pass.

Please bring back the "other side" when reporting traffic, also the "on route" traffic reports/all traffic reports, lastly, cant delete places when a place is already set...

Agreed. Things like police checkpoints, flooded roads, etc., affect both sides of the road.

Exactly! I pretty much disregard pothole hazards because I drive on a six lane highway. So I have no idea which of the three lanes it is in. How am I supposed to report if it's still there. I agree, there should be an option to choose.

This would allow a user to avoid a problem lane before they get there rather than just trying to spot an object in any of the lanes on a 5 lane freeway.

Another vote for warning both lanes of traffic for police.

Mostly on US highways and interstates people stop on right hand shoulder but sometimes they stop on median wall. When on a multi-lane highway it would be great to be able to specify if an accident or stall is parked on waht shoulder or lane. Same with Pot holes. Keep up the great work.

I like the idea of adding a left, middle, right lane for objects in road. It would be nice to know if that object in the road is in my lane or not.

This would also be useful at or near intersections where a report affects "All Directions" for major accidents, speed/seatbelt checkpoints (police), vehicle stopped in road, etc.
I have seen instances where other Wazers have driven through an intersection in all four directions, sending four seperate reports, in order to alert Wazers approaching from any direction.

To expand on my prior comment...
i've found a few feature requests related to this but the idea of this request goes beyond the scope of the subject line. Since the 4.x upgrade on iOS removing the ability to report events on the other side of the road, waze has become completely WORTHLESS. However, THEY ARE PUNISHING those of us who have NOT UPGRADED by not giving us our points for driving and reporting events even though other users can see them and thank us for them. Recently, before i downgraded back to 3.9.x, I was driving and noticed and accident and traffic completely stopped on the other side of the road. I was not able to alert other wazers to the situation because the option was removed from the new 4.x version. There were other wazers en route to that area but none there at the time so i was not able to help them because i was on the current 4.x version. Until it is restored, or they at lest restore our points, i'm staying on v3.9 so I can help other wazers (which used to be the purpose of this app) and will be getting my points through WME. -

This needs to be expanded to not just traffic, but all reports that have been limited to only on the side you are traveling on. Many users including myself refuse to upgrade until this useful feature is restored. They do appear to be punishing those of us that have not upgraded by not giving us points for our reports.

Great idea! A vehicle stopped on the left shoulder is a lot different than a vehicle stopped on the right shoulder.

A botton to say on which lane a car is stopped due to an accident or just a car stopped without accident or define on which lane there is a warning (a group of bicycles on the left lane). This helps a lot on streets with 2 or more lanes for the driver to anticipate and move to the other lanes.
