Mirror link support!
Most newer vehicles are coming from the factory with mirrorlink, support for mirrorlink would alow me to use waze with my factory touch screen. Much like the pioneer support. Having this as I'm sure for others would allow us to use waze all the time!

Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

As many carmakers are working on solutions to connect smartphones to vehicles it would be a good idea to make Waze compatible with those systems. Personally I intend to buy a new Skoda (Volkswagen Group) and I had to learn Waze is not among the apps which can be mirrored to the new touchscreens in the 2015 models.
On their pages Volkswagen puts it like that: "Smartphones are handy, always with you and for every situation there is a suitable app. With MirrorLink™ you no longer have to be behind the wheel without this practical tool. I am not working at Volkswagen, I just hope to get the Thing started, as I really would love to se Waze among those apps which can be used from the next generation touchscreens in cars.

Being able to update and report using waze would be easier if I was able to use it in a in-dash radio system without having to use the mirror link option. As you already know mirror link relies solely on the phone and you are unable to use the touch screen options of the radio to report and update and I'd like to see that in the future.

Just a wish list. It will be nice to have an option to reverse the display like mirror, so it can be reflected on the car windshield.

Greetings, I own an iPhone 4S and I have also a 7" screen on my car. I also have the genuine Apple RCA cable, which I use to plug the iPhone into the RCA jack of my screen to watch videoclips.
I was thinking, it would be AMAZING if Waze app could recognize when the cable is conected into the iPhone and asks if I want to mirror the ap on the conected screen. Waze GPS system is way better than my car's, and if it could be shown in the car's 7" screen would be certanily awesome. I wouldn't even mind controlling Waze by the iPhone and having the information displayed on the car built in 7" screen, which is not a touch screen on my case.
I know this is possible to do with some Jailbreak apps, but I don't want to Jailbreak my iPhone.

Enable TV-out mirroring so you can display waze on your build in navigation unit.
For iPhone a simple open source library can be included : http://www.touchcentric.com/blog/archives/123
