  1. Report and show long term roadworks

    Since I am driving thousands of kilometers a month I need a button to report long term roadworks especially for highways/autobahn. And with that it would be nice if the lenght of the roadwork is shown too - it could look the same like the time it takes to come through a traffic jam on the left side of the screen.
    The first report marks the beginning of the roadwork, the second the end of it. In Germany there are signs where they write the estimated end date of the current roadwork. That could be reported too.

    There should be a choice of the easiest or safest drive route as determined by an logarithm. Ie less intersections, less bends

  3. Stoplights on map

    You need to have stoplights on the map when. Giving directions. I know Apple Maps has it. It helps when coming to a turn but there is a light before it. It’s more precise.

  4. Speed Bumps

    It’s a big ask and I’ve read online it’s coming soon.

    But an option to turn on just as you would with the toll booths but for fixed speed bumps, so rather than a hazard that shows up when your almost at the speed bump. It’s instead a setting that when you turn on it will automatically make a route that has no speed bumps before you set off on your journey.

    I have a lowered car and many people do so I think it’s very fitting that this should be the first app to have this function. Not only…

  5. Display next instuction after the current one

    It would be really handy if you could always show the turn instruction after the current on screen instruction. It will help with early lane positioning. Ideally including the lane that you need to be in.

  6. Optie voor tractors (snelwegen EN ook autowegen vermijden)

    Hallo, ik ben tractorchauffeur. En voor tractors is het verboden om op snelwegen en autowegen te komen. Het zou dus makkelijk zijn als je ook de optie hebt om autowegen te vermijden.

  7. Ability to add obstructions offline

    Wish there was a way to add (eg, road closures) offline - currently it seems the only way to do it is to actually drive there until the triangle button appears on the screen. Trying to warn everyone as a closed road is currently showing as roadworks/closed lane.

  8. Leave the overview map on the screen until I change it.

    In Google Maps, when I get to the Overview Screen, it stays on the screen and slowly zooms in until I get to my destination. In Waze, the Overview Screen only stays for a few seconds, then reverts to the basic navigation screen. Please make Waze more like Maps and let me keep the Overview Screen on the display until I change it!

  9. Low clearance feature

    There should be a feature that allows you to select routes for oversized trucks- tractor trailers keep getting stuck in the sumner tunnel or moving trucks on storrow drive all the time!! This is Boston MA but I’m sure other places could benefit too

  10. End route at end of closed segments

    When the destination would end on a segment that is currently closed the route ends on the next closest segment (that isn't closed) which in many cases is a road in the back of the property where there's no access to the destination.

    Consider ending the route at the last node that is not closed on the route - at the node the closure ends/starts.

  11. Possibility to tick an avoid country lanes box

    Overview routes are only general. A button to tick "Avoid country lanes/no name lanes) would be so useful to not go in circles, trying to find a better route towards a location. It's not always possible to avoid country lanes, but most of the times/most of the route can be at least on B roads.

  12. New Alternate Routes requires too much attention

    Firstly, I was unable to find the alternate routes option the first time I used the latest update. The screen was unfamiliar, and in the moment, while driving, it’s not a great time to discover new design choices. I would have appreciated an in-app notification or walkthrough showing the update before embarking on my drive.

    Secondly, I’m not yet a fan of the redesign. The x-minutes slower/faster is a bit cumbersome, requiring that I do mental math to determine when I’ll arrive based on the route option.

    Third, needing to swipe across the screen to see the detailed info requires…

    I would like to delete routes I no longer need with only two or three moves. Similar to deleting messages in the inbox.

  14. UK time restrictions (School Streets)

    Monday to Friday
    No entry between 8am and 9:15am."
    And 2:45pm and 4:00pm."

    There are loads of these signs in hundreds of cities all over the UK especially London. Can't we allow for local map editors to save time based restrictions into the map?

  15. Gas station stops by fuel range

    Ability to enter fuel range of your vehicle to automatically suggest stops on long trips. When driving long distances, I have to make the destination a gas station that is *** miles away, then change my destination at that stop to the next gas station, then finally add my final destination at the last gas stop. Would be nice to enter a final destination and then a fuel range of 350 miles and suggest as many stops are needed.

  16. Penalise routing through unpaved roads

    Problem:
    Users with "allow unpaved roads" attribute on the client are oftenly routed through unpaved roads. They complain on why they are routed through these when other routes are available.

    Description:
    Unpaved roads are often rough, uncomfortable and dirty. When the user has selected "allow unpaved roads" they expect to see better routes. When there are no other available options to get to a place, or when the paved option is tens of kilometers longer, then unpaved roads make sense. However, when there are several routes with paved roads and some unpaved roads, users are not expecting to drive through…

  17. adding no commercial plates filter

    Allowing a filter for choosing passenger cars only routes or commercial vehicles allowed. This would be helpful to plan routes and side routes avoiding parkways or roads in the NYC area which do not allow commercial plated vehicles on those roads

  18. Add the ability to see lane merges ahead of you.

    Might be nice to be shown arrows if you have a merge coming ahead of you on the route similar to how it shows lanes for exits, turns, ect.

    This can prove useful if there is traffic and you can either pre-change to avoid having to merging or can stay in the merging lane to zipper merge later saving you time.

  19. Left hand HOV Lanes

    Waze does not reliably suggest HOV lanes. When HOV lanes are dedicated, Waze will regularly suggest them when selecting an HOV route, but when it's a permissive lane (separated by dashed lines rather than separated by a physical barrier), Waze will not suggest the lane most of the time.

    When a Wazer selects an HOV route, permissive HOV lanes should be suggested.

  20. When a second destination is entered, have the option to keep the first destination as a stop

    When a second destination is entered, have the option to keep the first destination as a stop. Currently if we set the second destination as new final destination the first destination is removed.
