  1. Set Waze as default iOS navigation app [iOS 18.4/EU only]

    In the EU, Apple has finally made it possible to set a default navigation app in iOS 18.4.

    Unfortunately, Waze has not yet implemented this feature.

    You can find the new option in iOS 18.4 under Settings -> Apps -> Default apps -> Navigation

    It would be really great to finally have the option on iOS to open addresses directly without having to copy and paste them manually into Waze, for example.

  3. Upgrade the "Add a Stop" function to sort the destinations (gas, food, coffee) from closest to farthest

    Upgrade the "Add a Stop" function to sort the destinations (gas, food, coffee) from closest to farthest.
    Right now, if you are in the midst of a long trip and click "Add a stop" and ask see options (for food or gas or coffee) you see locations near your destination.

    Suggestion is to add distance options, like "show closests first".
    What good is a gas station that is 125 miles away? ;)

  4. “Getting fuel/food” option if leaving the route, instead of being nagged to return to it

    We just finished a two way cross country journey between Colorado and New Jersey. As usual we used Waze, and as always it was great. However, whenever we pulled off the interstate for any reason we were, of course, nagged with directions to get back onto it. I thought it would be really useful if a box could pop up where you could choose “stopping for fuel” or food, or rest break, so that the app would just pause directions

  5. Take a break on Roadside Rest Areas

    When traveling on a highway using Waze, on pulling in to a known rest stop, Waze eagerly tries to get you back on your route. Waze should be able to discern that you've taking a break. Suggestion: when following a route on a highway, and you pull into a known rest area, Waze should pop up and say "Are you taking a break? yes / no"

    Upon the user responding "yes," Waze goes into a pause and does not offer any further suggestions, until the phone unit is detected moving at better than 15 mph. This would help reduce confusion…

  6. Social friends

    Seen that you no longer associate with Facebook, I can’t follow my friends on Waze. Why don’t you create your own social media platform so Waze users can follow their from around the country and world to share their travels.
    Very disappointed I can’t connect with friends on Waze.

  7. Bug with sorting recorded locations

    (With French version under Android)
    After having added several places in the "Recorded locations" panel (about 25) and having manually sorted them, I close the app. When re-opening it, the locations are scrambled and even if I sort the places again and again, the sorting is lost each time after the app is closed.

  8. Love the app. Please add , "Hey Dumb Butts, STOP RUBBER NECKING AND DRIVE!" You are causing the traffic delays.

    Way to Tell Drivers to stop rubber necking. The stopping/braking to look is causing traffic delays.

  9. Weight should be given to minimizing turns. The routing algorithm seems to ignore the number of turns (in favor of shorter route?)

    Example: If you can get from point A to point B with a single turn, the simpler route should be recommended over a slightly shorter route that gets there with several alternating left and right turns.

  10. WME PH Only show at higher zoom

    Feedback on new icons for Place Hazards (Cameras, Railroad crossings). (from another editor's posting in Waze Discuss)

    In WME: hazards show on the map all the way out to Zoom 14! at this Zoom, even the railroad segment isn't rendered - does the hazard need to render this far?

    In areas like NYC, WME performance is already poor (for making edits, panning and zooming in).

    Now these icons also render out to Zoom Level 14, covering multiple streets, nodes, etc.

  11. Bring back "plan-a- drives " easy access!

    Please revert back to the icon for "plan-a- drive" beside the address. It has taken me now over 10 minutes looking for the dang feature!! I use it regularly and it's now difficult to use. Bring back the clock icon to schedule my morning drives please!!!

  12. Saving current location as a Place

    Add a Place currently requires you to enter an address. It should also allow you to add your current location (often you don't know the address) directly.

  13. Give editors a method to quickly jump to a chat response from another editor

    I literally have thousands of editors that I have chatted with and when one replies, I can see the icon in the top right of my editor screen tells me I have a reply. But to get to it, I must scroll through hundreds (or thousands) of other editors to find the response. Could you make it so I could jump directly to that response?

    These are new editors and it's important that we are quick in our response to them.

  14. Fuel type

    In settings I can select vehicle type as Electric but under preferred fuel type I have to choose between petrol or diesel. Something missing there.

  15. Allow Podcast apps integrated

    Allow podcast apps such as Libby and BorrowBox to be intergrated into the Waze app. Currently when I listen to a podcast on a long drive I cannot hear the navigation sounds and waze noises.

    Add more categories

    Liquor Store, Thrift Store, Ambulance Service, Nursing Home, Retirement Home, Apartment

    Split the Doctor/Clinic category to make it easier to search

    Optometrist, Dentist, Chiropractor, etc.

  18. Turn Waze off

    Waze is great but it burns up your battery. It should auto turn off as soon as the route is completed or stopped.

  19. Recent saved places

    Can you please add a button to reorder saved places list and a search box on your next iOS iPad os Waze update? New to old and viceversa, it would be helpful!

  20. Ability to categorize saved locations

    As I use Waze all the time, I have quite a few saved places, but unfortunately, apart from the possibility of ordering them in the list, there's no way of subdividing the list.
    The ability to create sub-directories within the list, or to create personal categories and link a saved location to them, would be a great help.
    A search in the saved locations would also be a plus.
