  2. Route Tracking Recorder Functionality

Implement a RTR(Route Tracking Recorder) Functionality.

Say you have this path you like to do every now and then. Activate the RTR and drive until your destination, once there, deactivate RTR. Done! Waze has recorded that route you just drove and saved it.
Ok... what now? Well, you can:

    1) Use it once again;

OR (where it really shines :)

    2) share it to a friend, so that person will know that special route you did to save time from traffic.

Had this idea after a colleague had to follow me until certain point of my daily route to cut…

  3. Time-based Map Topology

In Washington, DC specifically, and in other cities around the United States (and probably around the world), certain turns are illegal between 7:00-9:30 am or 4:00-6:30 pm. More challenging, Rock Creek Park - a major commuter route that is often utilized by Waze - allows southbound traffic only between 7:00-9:30 am on mon-fri, and northbound traffic only between 4:00-6:30 pm on mon-fri. Waze is unable to factor in these restrictions, and becomes of limited usability during these times. Its really frustrating for me, and my partner. Please, please, please fix this? I'm afraid one of our phones might go flying…

  4. Truck Driver friendly

I would love to see a truck driver (class A and class B) friendly to where truck drivers can see height of bridges and the maximum weight capacity it holds. This would open up some much more interest for people and increase usage. My spouse hates google maps and Apple Maps because they never work for him he loves wazes but wishes it incorporates truck drivers. Please take this into consideration I would appreciate it so much thank you.

  5. Better navigation - height width weight

Please add three values to segments, maxHeight, maxWidth, maxWeight. All segments should default to 0.

Please add user settings of maxHeight, maxWidth, maxWeight. They should default to 0. The label should direct the user to enter their height/width in metres and weight in tonnes.

When reviewing a navigation route, check if there is a value of maxHeight, maxWidth, maxWeight exceeding 0. If there is a value, cross-check the users maxHeight, maxWidth, maxWeight is lower.

If the users value is higher than the segment value, disregard that segment as a navigation option.

This would help users of a wide range of…

  6. Entry points depending on vehicle type

Entry points depending on type of vehicle can be a very nice feature. For example, if you're driving a private vehicle and you're going to a mall, your entry point should be the parking lot, but for an Uber the entry point should be the front door of the place.

  10. passing lanes on single lane roads - wouldn't be great if one could get informed how long the incoming passing lane is?

Passing lanes - always a guessing game how long they are - the roads sign is there, and tell you that is coming ahead, but sometimes you have a very short one, meaning you won't be able to pass if you are three cars behind. Would be a good hint to all drivers, as slow down to let pass, or get ready to do a quick passing. - So once the road sign saying passing lane 1 mile ahead - you could tap on screen and see it's length too or set app to warn you if shorter tan 1500…

  11. In-Depth Car Icons

I think it would make Waze just a little bit better if you could have customisable car icons and choose your exact make and model and have like car conditions so for example i want to carpool but i can say " hey i want to carpool in a nice Mercedes S550" and i could see the people with the car that i want to carpool and i could see if i wanted to carpool in a nice car instead of a junky beater!
I think that this would make waze just a little bit better!

  13. Tweeks on your max speed alerts

Two comments on your speed limit alert. 1st, the sound alert is barely audible and not continous while still speeding. 2nd, when I slowed down after exeeding the speed limit, then I speed up again, I get no audio alert that I exeeded the speed limit again. 3rd, maybe you can add an option as to when I will get notified of speeding. Like maybe before I reach a percentage of the max speed I can get notified already. Thanks and more power to you guys.

  15. Popup for Ads while Navigating

Great work! I am really digging the revamped UI. I like this app because it actually makes my commutes fun. Waze has access to very rich data, which gives me complete context-awareness.

One thing that I would like to point out is the way in which ads have been implemented. It greys out my entire navigation screen with the top half portion being taken up by the ad itself. Don't you think this is a little dangerous? For visual people like myself who likes to have full view of the map to lead my way, this is very disruptive and…

  16. FAVELAS NO RIO DE JANEIRO

    Bom dia,

  17. It would be great to put toll booths and customs check points on the maps. I have to put 'heavy traffic' every time I go through one. Thanks

Post toll booths and customs check points so I don't have to put 'heavy traffic' every time I go through one.

  18. Show Accurate Distance to Exit Inside Roundabouts

Display the actual remaining distance to the correct exit while inside the roundabout. This would help drivers better anticipate when to exit, especially in larger or multi-exit roundabouts.

When driving a roundabout, the distance to the exit is always shown as “0 m” in the current navigation display. This can be misleading, as the driver has not yet reached the exit.

Knowing how far it is to the correct exit helps reduce confusion and allows for smoother lane changes and safer navigation. Showing “0 m” before reaching the exit does not reflect the real driving experience and can lead to…
