Hi, we love using the Waze app for travelling where ever we are.
However it would be great if there was a setting for avoiding minor roads or entering the size of vehicle. We occasionally tow a 7.5m caravan and last week when Waze re directed us due to heavy traffic we found ourselves in very narrow lanes with the caravan in tow - very stressful. A warning stating route unsuitable for large vehicles might even suffice?
Please can you consider this as an update.

Ways to avoid high crime areas
Has there been any thought to adding a feature where wazers could elect to avoid high crime areas, similarly to how we can elect to avoid tolls?

Need to distinguish between HOV and Express/HOT/Toll lanes
Maybe this is California specific, but we have both HOV lanes, which require 2+ passengers but have no toll required, and then we have Express Lanes, which are toll lanes that you can drive in regardless of number of passengers, but do require a toll (paid for via a transponder - Fastrak in CA).
I drive by myself so I cannot use the HOV lanes, but I do have a Fastrak transponder so I can use the Express lanes. But if I tell Waze that I have Fastrak, it automatically also routes me on the HOV lanes, which I cannot…

Avoid traffic jams.
I often travel with 3 kids on long road trips. Always rather be moving than standing in place with screaming kids and I am SURE a lot of people would agree. I recently had a trip take 10+ hours instead of the original 7 because of completely predictable and avoidable traffic jams on highways. Clearly not there in the middle of the night when I depart but jams there every day since they are because of ongoing construction work on a lane. I kind of assumed waze already tried to help you avoid these but I guess I was wrong.…

Inserire la possibilità di evitare strade strette a doppio senso
Purtroppo capita spesso soprattutto in zone periferiche di imbattersi in stradine strette a doppio senso dove magari ci si trova difronte un furgone in salita. Darei la possibilità agli utenti di preferire qualche km in più ma più comodo dal punto di vista della larghezza della carreggiata.

Snelheid passend bij het voertyig
Is er misvhien een mogelijkheid om de maximale toe gestane snelheid van je voertuig in te geven , zodat dit in de navigatie ook mee genomen kan worden, als ik bijvoorbeeld met een vrachtwagen rijd dat ik 80km/h in kan geven bij een auto met aanhanger 90km/h en bijboorbeeld met een tractor 45 km/h. Ik moet namelijk morgen met de caravan boor werk op pad maar nu is het heel lastig inschatten hoelang ik hier over doe.
Misvhien kunnen jullie hier iets mee.

Adicionar rotas personalizadas para caminhões. Há muitos espaços em que caminhões não passsam. Além disso, há avenidas e ruas com restrições. Atualmente nossa empresa utiliza o Waze até certo ponto e nossos motoristas e ajudantes de motoristas têm que ter o olhar atento para não seguir o Waze e acabar entrando em alguma rota que não tem a possibilidade de entrada, ou então se entra na rua/avenida vem a multa com certeza.
Grande parte do público de vocês é caminhoneiros e empresas. Se precisar, fico a disposição para informar as rodovidas e outros locais em São Paulo e proximidades que…

avoid congestion
It would help if Waze offered alternative routes that while took a few minutes longer, avoided heavy hectic traffic and congestion. I would gladly spend a few more minutes in smooth cruising than dealing with thick hectic combative traffic. Waze now seems to only offer the most congested route.

Holiday lights
People can nominate and submit pictures of their house decorated with holiday lights (can be Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc). Then when someone uses Waze to drive they can chose to drive a way that takes them through the house holiday lights or take a route just to look at Christmas lights. I think people would love this!

Effectivement si vous ne tenez pas compte des voitures électriques, moi je suis obligée de rester sur le Gps de la voiture. J’ai absolument besoin de rejoindre un chargeur pendant mon trajet…. sans le chercher. il faudrait que ce soit indiqué sur le trajet

It’s 2024 and many truck drivers are you biggest users. There are other apps but none have the community base, live updates, live events, updated closures. It’s time that truckers get the best of the best of driving apps. Garmin navigation is the biggest but are rarely updated and do not have LIVE updates. It’s time that you add trucking to your menu and all the restrictions because Waze has better updates than all apps. Maybe acquire another app and make it happen. Being able to use both metric and imperial/US units.
In Puerto Rico, we use kilometers (km) to measure distance but we use miles per hour (MPH) to measure speed since we are a US territory. In the app, you can only choose imperial or metric. I would like to be able to use MPH to measure speed while using metric units to measure distance.

Création d'un mode économique autoroutes
Bonjour,
Serait il possible de créer un mode ultra économique qui concernerait les trajets sur autoroutes payantes ?
Je m'explique, Waze à la faculté de connaître le montant des péages.
Avec un mode ultra économique, waze nous permettrait de prendre une sortie sur autoroute, faire un tour de rond-point et nous faire re-rentrer sur l'autoroute.
Cela existe avec "autoroute eco . fr" mais pas simple d'utilisation et non extractable pour le gps.
Waze pourrait même indiquer un message type, "pour économiser × euros, prenez la prochaine sortie"
Si l'économie est jugée dérisoire par l'utilisateur, il continu sa route !

Add NTTA as a Toll Pass option
Add NTTA ( Ntta.org ) as a toll pass option within settings. NTTA toll tags are interoperable on toll roads within Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and most of Florida with future expansion to all Florida toll roads, Georgia and North Carolina.

advance direction when exiting a highway
When exiting the highway it would be SO helpful to announce the next direction much much earlier. For example, in ½ a mile, exit roselle road and stay to the right or stay to the left to exit. We have three plus lane exits and waze is telling me too late which lane to be in after exiting. Thanks!

Add the garage with vehicles and settings
I would suggest you introduce the concept of garage. The possibility of adding your own cars to the garage, being able to describe the types of cars, and relate the navigation configurations to the vehicles. In this way, by choosing the vehicle used at that moment with a single button, all the navigation configurations will be automatically set.
For example, I use an electric scooter and with the scooter, I don't want to drive on the motorways, I want to avoid toll roads and I have the permits for restricted areas of the city.
