add an option for Alternative fuel vehicles to be routed to HOV and HOT lanes since they are exempt
In the state of Georgia Alternative fuel vehicles are permanently exempt from HOV and HOT lane restrictions and as such they are a good option but waze has no way to know we electric folks are using HOV and HOT lane.

"wish list" points
Have you ever read a good article about some place, and decide to go there ... but it
s impossible to get there in short future. I was thinking to make some think like "wish list" of places where I would like to visit. Is similar to favorite places but not used so often. And the best would be the reminder that if you are riding xx (20) km form your “wish point” Waze would suggest you to visit it. I travel b bicycle a lot. And always trying to visit some interesting places about with one I wrote in traveler magazines. Wish list would let mi to collect those places in my gps, ane let decide where should I go on tour.
Next step:
Short describe wish places by users, and rating those places by visiting other users.
I think it would help other users with one are traveling on holidays to see some interesting places on their way.
Hope that Waze will do it first.MaG800 from Poland

Warning message "Alert sent successfully"
A user made the error alert 4 times and claimed that the app did not give you the return that the alert had been created.
This is a suggestion for improving the app. Should help avoid duplicate UR (or quadruplicate lol).6 votes -
Bug: iOS - waze never sticks to itinerary B or C. It always reroute to A
Ex: choose route B or C in order to get to destination. As soon as you start driving wase reroutes you to option A which you intentionally discarded

Type of Route Options Preference settings
I frequently drive a route that gives me the option of taking a toll road or driving on the non-toll route or taking streets - but when I look at the routes available to me, I am not able to compare the time savings of taking the toll road vs the non toll version of the road. I am only able to see toll road, or a street option, or an alternate freeway option. I would really like to be able to see the difference in commute time if I jump in the HOT lane vs not paying toll and staying on the freeway (the neighborhoods I drive through would be unwise to drive through at night)

Find my bus
I spend too much time waiting for a bus. I would love to know where it is. While I am on a bus I would click on the "on bus" button and I would type in my bus number. Now other users could know exactly where my bus is.

pre-select most commonly used updates into nav screen buttons
Have one main button on the navigation map screen that when pressed dynamically separates into 6 buttons (3 on the left [upper corner, midlevel, lower corner], 3 on the right). This would cut down on the clutter when an update is not needed.
Allow the user to customize these buttons to their most commonly used ones. For me, they would be car on the shoulder, heavy traffic, and hidden cop. If the update was on my side of the road, I would customize these to the right 3 buttons. If they were on the opposite side, I could customize these to the left 3 buttons allowing for some laterality of sorts.
Once one of the six buttons are pressed, the update would be entered immediately without an option to save it for later.
The suggestion allows to user to quickly update map information in a shorter amount of time due to familiarity and less button pressing. This will ultimately shorten the time the user's eyes are off the road and improve the safety level of using this great app.

Buses live - drivers catch buses too
Use the facility that you have but simply add the bus number that you are on. People can then see wherever their next bus is (live input from WAZE users) or see where the alternatives are. Set up simple: Which city are you in? e.g. Brisbane Australia (stays as the default location setting). Have a button for Buses (a BAZE button). What bus are you on? 180 - and that's it. You may make it that at least 3 people need to enter the number to be valid and it would be good to drop people off if the bus hasn't moved for say 3 minutes or they get a pop up "You aren't moving fast on this bus, if you are in a traffic jam, press "I know! We are stuck in traffic." If not pressed then they have forgotten to clock off - Having 3 or more people as a requirement for it to register may prevent false readings. Thanks for listening. I would LOVE this feature. I have heaps of choices with buses but it is the transfer that often holds me up. We have live plane tracking apps, let's get our users to contribute to live bus tracking.

Report (10min) Queue:
Report (10min) Queue: If I report a traffic issue and I happen to be in a data dead zone due to powerlines or carrier issue, I get the Oh Oh display. If my report is queued for up to 10mins before expiration, I may pass out of the issue area and still get the report in. Right now the report is just lost.

Automatic Paving
Why doesn't paving come on automatically when driving along an unmapped route? This would make it safer than having to stop then follow all the steps to start paving etc

Supplemental Extended Maneuver
More info:
https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=91448Sometimes we have so more complicated crossroad that standard left/right is not enough to give exact instructions for a driver. Finally we must to choose which road gets a better direction.
These additional maneuvers could replace standard left/right and to design better driving instructions.

setup actions for use by trigger (app)
I use an app called trigger to start waze when I get into my car. It allows actions to be executed on apps. (Eg for music player it can start playing music, stop playing etc) Would it be possible to set actions that allow actions to be executed by such programs? Simple things like start navigating home/work/close?

An option to tell Waze it's got me pointed in the wrong direction
When I'm trying to add a stop before I start driving and Waze has me pointed in the wrong direction, it'll suggest stops that are further off-route than it realizes because once I get started the route will be recalculated based on my actual direction of travel. If I could just tap the "me" icon and say "point me the other way!" that'd be tremendously helpful.

recent change says "turn left" or "turn right" too far ahead in addition to closer instructions.
It could say "the next turn will be a left turn" to give you a heads up. It does later say "turn left in xxxx feet" but when listening to instructions instead of viewing them, I have inadvertently turned when it said "turn left" when the turn wasn't really there for 750-1000 feet.

Create a "memory mode" for operation without internet accesses
Create a "memory mode" for operation without internet accesses.
The memory mode should store the information about where you drive up to XX minutes (to be configured by the user) and will be fed to internet when then network is available again.
This feature will help to log off-road and path in mountain where the cell phone coverage is bad.
